I'm hoping we don't get a long-running script stall things while I post this or I might have to give up on Big Soccer until they can pump some air in to that server of theirs or, better still, learn how to write cleaner code that loads fast and doesn't start to nose-dive, mid-flight.

    Here goes.....

This is something that bugs (maybe I shouldn't type that - for risk of tempting the red cloaked, coding fairy to make an unwelcome appearance) me every season.

When pushed for time, I find that there are way too many threads to try and catch up with and, although there are some interesting posts in them, most just blandly repeat what has already been posted in the Fantasy Premier League transfer threads.

Instead of 'redundant' transfer threads for each league, I propose the managers of all four Rocks Leagues join the banter in one thread. Posting about transfers and missed transfers is fine but not posting the actual bland IN vs OUT trades. The key word here is: about.

Bringing All Rocks managers together in one place also helps us know each other better; making the promotion/relegation competition more interesting. There's nothing worse than being a promoted/relegated manager arriving in a new league with other promoted/relegated managers. Even the established managers in the league now have new managers arriving from above and below them.

If this idea doesn't go down well, then I might just continue using the Rothman's Medalion thread for my musings.

Good idea... some of us don't hesitate to chat in the other league forums.. but a overall banter threader has been missing...

I never knew about the Jarvis knock in training but at least called the Clichy transfer right.

Somehow the scoring dilema is still not solved and there are too many white shirts in my team.

One solitary goal against supposedly weaker opposition is not the signal to try and hold the game, yet AVB lost the plot by trying to be all suave and continental.

Maybe he was just seeing what a crowded midfield looks like.

Maybe he was told to treat the game like Chrissie Hughton's testimonial, after 28 years of service.

But if there's a goal-scoring problem against Norwich at home, doing the business on the road could be double tricky.

Reading away - looks like another book plug - for Spurs, or Southampton at home for Arsenal?

Someone needs to start hitting the back of the net in North London and I don't really want to spend two weeks thinking about it.

    All Rocks League Toppers

    BiggerBoat (Chief Brody) (22pts) 212
    Nomadic Gatherings (Andy Hot-Spur) (35pts) 189
Sasha Juniors (Tom Johnson) (29pts) 185
Bally Boys FC (Traps Army) (55pts) 167

Chief Brody, better known as 'Bro' to the Kiwis in Manly, continues to hold on to the lead in the Sydney Harbour marathon although the chasing pack are closing in; Bally Boys FC making what could be a gold medal attempt for the week.

With Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Southampton and Manchester United still to play today, there's still some room for change at the top.

Twelve managers are still waiting for their captains to get away from the mirror and take to the pitch. Out of the current top four, Sasha Juniors still has Van Persie.

My concern is, will Petric lose minutes to Berbatov; as happened at Upton Park.

    Important Fantasy League Updates

    • The assist for the Norwich goal has been queried with the Press Association. It appears Grant Holt not Russell Martin gets the last touch.

    • Deadline day signings will be added on Monday.

    • If you now have more than three players from one team, the next time you try and make transfers, you will need to make your squad comply with the rules of three per team.

All Rocks Sweet FA Cup - Final is this week

    Vegas Virgins vs Aviators

Since the Golden Boot is finished, I will be doing a minute by minute (ish) report on this Super of Super Sundays Sweet FA Cup Final. The games start 1am Sunday Night (Monday morning) so I will need somehting to keep me awake

I actually have a twitter account I will never use, so if I actually learn how to do tweet tweets I will likely post on there rather than clog up Large Soccer with my dribble.... If I figure it out I will post my twitter thingy on here... for those who have nothing better to do...:p

Vegas Virgins - Walcott is Captain. All players starting except Lukaku. If Lukaku does not get a ,n run, Coleman will slot in.

Aviators- Bale is skipper, who already has a yellow card for diving! Also has Lukaku, with Ba as standby.

    30 minute update:

Vegas - Herandez assist and Carroll assist

Aviators- Kagawa Goal and Ba has an assist . Aviators hopes Lukaku stays on the bench now !

Hahaha, turns out Lukaku did good after all... although both teams had him so cancelled out in the end.

I ran out of steam last night, awakening to see the last 10 minutes of Spurs & Arsenal games. Had a glimmer of hope, but Newcastle did not really look like scoring really.

Aviators look to have come out on top in Sweet FA Cup. The GW is not finalised yet, but Aviators has a 78-58 lead and Bonus Points have already been awarded. Captain Bale with 20 was the star, with jointly owned Lukaku netting 16 point in a half of football. The Fulham stonewall combination of Schwartzer/Hangeland eeked out 16 points between them and Kagawa's 7 points was more than enough.

Congratulation Hal... nice work. Alas, you seem to have fallen 20 points short of an automatic promotion in to Small Rocks so we may have the pleasure of butting heads next season in VSR. Unless of course, Blech "Days of Our Lives" Blech decides to dramatically and as drawn out as possibly not to ru-unite with All Rocks FPL.... although I think you will miss out there, Blech & FPL are as destined to be together as Brooke & Ridge :p
