I've decided to create this thread for discussion about any football related topics that is not related to the NT or the Brasileirao. Sure, you could go to another forum and discuss it there, but this is intended to discuss with those who participate on this forum.
This one is for you, celito , Mr. big time Barca fan http://www.doentesporfutebol.com.br...ca-e-goleada-marcaram-a-vitoria-do-barcelona/ (in Portuguese, sorry) Barcelona went back to their old style of play from the Guardiola days and the result paid off. Look how far Alves played up, just like he used to. He played ok, but was horrible whipping in crosses into the box. His defensive duties were limited like they were in the past.
More on the tactical details about that game. http://www.zonalmarking.net/2013/03/13/barcelona-4-0-milan-tactics/
Damn, I wanted to see Barcelona x Dortmund. I have: Barcelona def PSG Dortmund def Malaga Real Madrid def Galatasaray Bayern def Juventus Semis: Barca v Dortmund Real v Bayern
It will be one of the best semifinals in a long time. But I think there will be a new 'sorteio' (help me) after quarter-finals.
New draw. The semifinals I put isn't how they are aligned now. Those are the matchups I want the draw to produce for the semifinals.
Ah yes, it's because there are people who still don't know the draw. Also wanted these semifinals. Bayern vs Borussia would be incredible, but Real x Barça would be one of the greatest UCL finals in history.
It really couldn't have worked better for UEFA. Bayern got the short end of the stick and RM probably the best draw.
Juve could be a thorn in Bayern's side, but I still think they can pass without any problems. They need to take both legs seriously unlike what happened at home vs Arsenal. You have to respect all opponents no matter what the situation may be.
REAL MADRID, Round 16 - Quarter-Finals, last years 2010-2011: Lyon, Tottenham 2011-2012: CSKA, APOEL 2012-2013: Manchester United (Real + ref), Galatasaray It's very ''lucky'' haha
There is a new draw for the Semis this year? I like and want to see either Real or Bayern win it. And I think that would be a phenomenal final. Though a Real/Barca final would be the ultimate. If in fact Barca goes down
Busquets has actually toned down his theatrics a lot. Other than that part he is actually a really good player with great situation awareness. Pepe for a while was also diving and faking injuries which made him the complete douche in my book.
Not a fan of Pepe's play either. And if it wasn't for Felipe Melo's head, he'd be on the Seleção because he's still quality IMO.
He still does that all the time. It enrages me. I don't like the guy at all, but I happen to think when he has his head on straight he is an absolute amazing CB.
What fires me up about Pepe though, is despite the brutal shit he pulls on other players, he might give the biggest and most obvious dramatizations in the game. It's enfuriating to see him get tapped then roll around on the grass grabbing every part of his body like he got shot.
Lol it is so entertaining though unless the game is a boring 0-0. And lets not act like other players on Madrid and Barca don't dive. During that losing streak Real had I felt like Pepe needed to act like that just to level it out. Barca were much better than madrid at diving.
Pepe can be reckless indeed, but he always play's with his heart and gives 110% to the tean, i'd argue he'll do anything via any way or mean to benefit his team...Sometimes very contraversially admittedly, but I'd rather have a guy like him in my side, then against. Del Piero going strong over in Aussie land. Legend!!!
