The Soul's playoff chances still look good. If they win 2 of the remaining 3 games they are in. If they lose Friday at Missouri then they need to win their final 2 home games vs Missouri and Syracuse and they are in. 11 wins is the magic win total they need to clinch as they currently have 9 wins. Rochester only has one game left and with a win will finish with 10 wins. Syracuse could go 3-1 losing at Chicago which would then finish with 10 wins but they play Milwaukee twice as well. Wichita could finish 3-0 and only finish with 10 wins. Syracuse and Wichita cannot make the playoffs if they finished tied with the Soul as the Soul own the tie breakers on head to head play. Syracuse would make the playoffs if they finished tied with the Soul as they swept the Soul this year. 2 wins is all we need to see Ian Bennett again in the playoffs.

Why on earth do you want to face a team that was 6-0 against you in the regular season as opposed to someone who you were 2-2 against (Baltimore)?

    My three guesses:
    1) Revenge!!
    2) Using the theory "If you want to be the best, you have the beat the best"
    3) The Soul are a bunch of masochists

As a Wave fan, I'd much rather play against Chicago (6-0) as opposed to the Comets (2-2). Besides, then I'd get to attend another road game!

I am not saying that i would rather face the Wave. It is the reality of the situation. You guys have first place wrapped up. Look at your remaining schedule. You can only beat us so many times. When you guys do show up in the playoffs make sure to bring your track shoes :)

Hold the phone there sparky- Wave will lose Sat at Baltimore

That means 1 loss the last 4 games and Baltimore gets #1
Wave WILL WIN the last 2 at home, but Syracuse has a small chance to make the playoffs and will give it there best shot at home, and Rochester plays their final game at home and are expecting a huge crowd (Abby Wambach)

so... not likely but still a chance the Wave drops 2 of 3 the last 3 road games

Considering that the Sears Centre is booked from 3/7 to 3/10 and again the following weekend, I doubt the Soul will have any playoff games at home if they do make the playoffs.

This is indoor soccer. You do what you have to. This isn't the NFL. Hey it will be against a team you own. It should be easy.

Tozer will have ZERO say in when the game is played

He'll have to deal with it if that's the date

That's not how the league has worked in the past.

I'm a bit confused with your posts on the thread you started. You say "Syracuse cannot make the playoffs if they finished tied with the Soul" and then you say "Syracuse would make the playoffs if they finished tied with the Soul".

In another post you say "It's the reality of the situation. You guys have first place wrapped up." As the Wave and Blast are currently tied in the standings and the Wave having 3 of 5 remaining on the road including one in Charm City your statement about the Wave having first place wrapped up is wrong.

But then again so was your prediction last week that the Wave would win in Missouri and the Soul would end the Wave winning streak in Chicago. Wrong and wrong.

I'm going to make a prediction right here and now regarding your "two wins is all we need to see Ian Bennett again in the playoffs". The Soul will not get those two wins. They will lose in Missouri and another one at home and will need help from Ian Bennett against Rochester to make the playoffs.

Dont expect a blast win we still have a lot of KEY players hurt , I also expect us to play our back up keeper because Vanzela has several brused fingers and has been playing hurt the last few games . Millwood is still hurt and a few more players are hurt as well

I dont think he has a choice I think its up to the League I agree 2-3 days later start the playoffs is way to fast . I hope the Blast are talking to Syracuse or Rochester to get a few games in to keep the guys sharp for the playoffs having 2 weeks off is way to long IMO

So do the Wave, they lost Ishmael, Santos and Fontana for the season and for the recent loss to KC were missing Liete and Rife due to injury as well. Josh was back in the lineup against Chicago on Monday but Marcio still wasn't back. As fans we can debate it, but neither team will use injuries as an excuse on Saturday, at this point in the season everyone has something bothering them, it all comes down to which team can execute best.

With the HOMER that you are I would of thought that you would agree that you guys have first place wrapped up. I hope you guys don't but you will finish first.

Great predictions on your part. I hope Ian Bennett dances all night in Rochester. The Soul will lose in Missouri and win the two at home. See you in the playoffs. Maybe you can come down for game one.

We will see and considering I am 12-0 on the MISL Game Predictions Thread and you are 0-2 the odds are you will finally be correct. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again.

LOL.....enjoy the remainder of the season FFK!

it may just come down to what team has the least injuries . Blast and the Wave are always good games so we will soon find out .

Confusing Rochester and Syracuse? Next someone will confuse Rockford and Chicago. Wait, that's already happened.

So, Chicago could win both remaining games and finish third, win one of the two and finish fourth or out of the playoffs or lose both and finish out of the playoffs, am I following the possibilities correctly?
