I don't know about a 5 year dearth until Gehrig showed up. Rosenthal, Leitch, Henderson, Gaudette, and Burns bridge that gap I think.
bald and thinning are different. bliss is out. There has to be a certain sympathy attached to the player. Bliss has decided to embrace with both arms the lack of hair.

KHT alert. I think the hair band was just a hair band in Henderson's case and not a disguise for balding. He seems to still have full head of hair. Would Warzycha count? His is thin and kind of always has been, but does not appear to be getting much thinner as he ages.
Those jerseys in the first picture are probably some of the ugliest we've had. The "tire track" ones are the worst, but luckily, we never actually wore those in a game. As far as the white stripe beneath "SMITH" in the second photo, I always thought those came in 1997. I have a Mike Lapper jersey sans nameplate. Mike Lapper was signed in 1997. Why does my Lapper jersey not have a nameplate.
That's Joe "Big Fatass Tomato" Johnson. Seriously, you really know who that is? Doesn't look at all familiar, but I do remember those awful red unis. They were pretty bad, I agree. I think they wore that same jersey in 96 AND 97. Might be wrong.
Kevin Terry - from Ohio (North Olmstead 1975 - 1977). He is actually in the top 20 of career goals scored in high school with 118.
Someone leaked Crew jerseys that had three vertical stripes across the front, fading as they got to the bottom. They literally had the look of driving a car through mud before driving it through a parking lot. I want to say they were yellow with black stripes. Luckily, these jerseys never saw the light of day.
