This game is on Tuesday Feb 19, 2013. It should be live on Fox at 11:30PST Lets do this boys! show 'em how its done! only worries is the defense without badstuber playing and boa off, but it doesnt matter if we score more than them, does it now ?
Anyone worried about what might happen this game? They did best Barca a few years ago here and Milan too.. Is anyone worried about dvb??? Boetang really pisses me off with his stupidity sometimes..
Shambolic? Please. Obviously a win would be nice, but a draw, or better scoring draw, is always a good result away from home in the CL.
We're going to eat them up. The Arsenal players will probably let our guys sleep with their gf's/wives after the game.
Poor form for Arsenal or not, it's always possible that a side pull off one impressive match in the midst of otherwise bad results. Arsenal's squad have it within themselves to play better than they have even if they can't sustain it. If I were Jupp, I'd want to play it careful and work for keeping a clean sheet and getting an away goal. From there I'd play it by ear, but I would rather a safe win or tie with no cards than a going for a knockout blow on the road against an opponent with a lot of pride and not a lot to lose.
Arsenal just lost at home to Blackburn (who were relegated last season). Should be a win here, I'll say 2-1 for FCB. What worries me a little is whether Alaba will be able to deal with Walcott, he's having the best year of his career and is leading Arsenal in scoring.
That is true if they keep a clean sheet and knock one in it would give them much better odds for this series.. However if we get an early goal I think it's all over from there... We won't lose at the Allianz..
Please don't remind us of that nightmare.. Also arsenal are not Chelsea of last year... Playing 12 man defense, having drogba and the football gods behind you, can win a CL trophy against all odds...
Agreed, people think we're playing a Bundesliga II team. Maybe people have forgotten how poor we were vs Valencia and BATE away in CL. We haven't looked particularly impressive in away CL matches this year, so a score tie would be a great result. If we manage a win, fantastic job to the team!
just for the record. head-to-head results 2004/2005 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE We 09Mar 2005 Arsenal1 - 0B Munich CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Tu 22Feb 2005 B Munich3 - 1Arsenal 2000/2001 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE We 14Mar 2001 B Munich1 - 0Arsenal CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Tu 05Dec 2000 Arsenal2 - 2B Munich Played them 4 times --- 2W for bayren and a draw
Our away form in the BL has been pretty much flawless.. Our away form in the CL has not... But lets hope those were because of circumstance at the time. We seemed more focus on the league then the CL. We did what needed to be done at just enough effort to make it to the next round.. I think our circumstance now affords us to focus solely on the CL and dfb now.. The title race is pretty much over.. We literally have to lose the next 6 straight games... There are 12 games left.
I'll say if Bayern play to their best, it is a Bayern win. I cannot guarantee anything below that. But they have to stay focussed, not believe their own hype, and remain solid at the back (no easy feat with Van Buyten starting I fear). Come on Bayern, win it for Germany, who has had a pathetic week in Europe otherwise.
Maybe they get a result, but we'll maul them over the course of the 2 legs. I expect a demolition at the Emirates too, but maybe they'll get lucky at home like Basel last year.
No way Jupp or some of the players underestimate Arsenal, this is not Basel or BATE. One thing that is worrying me is the possibility of this game being exactly like Dortmund's game in Ukraine. I am afraid we miss to many clear chances and Arsenal take the lead. I hope we will score first, and after that we are not gonna play under pressure, because clearly the pressure is on us. They have no expectations.
but he does EXACTLY the same thing every game match "bayern have no chance winning this game " blah blah .... he did it for the wolfsburg game thread too and said Khan is our only savior. make you roll your eyes sometimes
I think they will have pressure infront of their home fans.. But Bayern have to be careful, arsenal is a wounded beast caught against the wall with nothing to lose. We can't treat this like a walk in the park.. We just need a result there and if so, we can finish it at home.
