everyone but Romeu is available with the ACN players back and Ba (Euro tied) and Luiz (Euro yellow cards) back in as well putting it simply for me- if Ba starts we win
Have to agree, but with one caveat. He needs to play the full 90. If Torres, starts he gets 90 minutes and doesn't impress over the 90. If Ba starts, he gets 65 minutes and scores a goal but is subbed off for Torres. My point is that we to do well in this cup, which is why we need Ba to start. He'd have 20 league goals this season if he was given the opportunity to play regular minutes.
Start Ba and if we're up by two or more bring Torres on and play both up front. Try something different and see how it goes. Although, I doubt our ability to get two goals under the current manager. It feels like a lottery with what performance we'll see from the team.
Liverpool scum* blames Chelsea, the world, the universe, babies, small cuddly animals and so on for useless Liverpool scum being useless ffs http://www1.skysports.com/football/...helsea-to-blame-for-Fernando-Torres-poor-form *used to really kind of like yossi, oh well... (p.s. liking him and his approach to the game is very different from not thinking he was ever good enough for recent Chelsea)
Last season I would have said the same. This season, no way. He's been given ever opportunity to succeed here, and the fact is that he hasn't.
5o million and 175,000 quid a week oughta buy a striker model with self-confidence, a first touch and work rate pre-installed
Just wanted to clear up that I was referring to the comment section at the bottom of the article moreso than Benayoun's comments. Not that I agree with Yossi... at all.
Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation: 1 Petr Cech 2 Branislav Ivanovic 24 Gary Cahill 26 John Terry (c) 3 Ashley Cole 4 David Luiz 8 Frank Lampard 11 Oscar 10 Juan Mata 13 Victor Moses 29 Demba Ba Substitutes: 22 Ross Turnbull, 28 Cesar Azpilicueta, 34 Ryan Bertrand, 7 Ramires, 30 Yossi Benayoun, 17 Eden Hazard, 9 Fernando Torres. Brentford are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation: Moore; Logan, Dean, Craig,Bidwell; Douglas (c), Diagouraga; Donaldson, Forshaw, Adeyemi; Trotta. Substitutues: Lee, Hodson, Barron, Reeves, Forrester, Saunders, Hayes. The referee is Neil Swarbrick
was that a striker on the back post? surely not. Ivan heads back across goal but too high for Ba. I like the line up and we are playing pretty decent atm.
The Yossi comments rather miss the point that his poor form continued from the end at pool. Even if it hadn't, I can`t see how he`s been poorly handled. He`s just been largely useless. That`s nobody`s fault but his.
Moses getting lots of change (and kicks) down his side cuts it back to Lamps, who scuffs it, and the follow up from Oscar is blocked over the top better
"Chelsea seem more comfortable playing away from home without the hostility of the fans" the biggest lie being perpetuated by the media atm. I am sure it has nothing to do with the hosting team not parking the bus in front of their fans and actually attacking us which plays into what little strength we have as an attacking team.
