I remember Ortiz raving about this kid a few weeks ago. Says he's the best prospect on any sports team in Houston. Anyone know more about him?

    Here's is Dynamo Academy page:

He is skipping college, whoa. But hey, at that age if a kid is really good he can play pro.

he has more and it usually changes hues. has the soccer hair thing down.

ive seen Bryan Salazar in-person a handful times. being around pros will hopefully help on some habits/tendencies. if you were at the soft opening of BBVA when the Academy played the USMNT U-17 he was one of the few bright spots that night.

Will he be able to contribute in an already crowded midfield/forward stable?

Incredible to see the quote where he talks about playing with the Academy since age 12...God I'm getting old.

This is what you want to see from all the MLS academy teams. Players finding an avenue to professional development that's realistic. Good for him.

awesome, they probably want to avoid the sort of will-he-won't-he of Ibeagha. Hopefully this turns more into a Najar situation than a Felix Garcia situation.

with the reserves league "stepping up" in the next few seasons, this makes a lot of sense. The dynamo weren't going to fill out those 26-30 roster spots anyways and probably see this as a more sound investment than the small bit of allocation money they would have received otherwise.

CCL bench experience is probably the cornerstone of Dynamo development anyways, right?

He was a signing for our Academy years back, he is a quality footballer these years later.
I am enjoying this growth in our youth set up.
    Good on the lad.

ayyyeee this has been making the rounds in Honduras. His mother is apparently Honduran. Someone mentioned something about wanting this to be an Andy Najar situation... :ninja:

jk, great signing, they showed his highlights down here and the kid looks like he has something special within him. Wouldn't mind him on the Honduran NT, but it looks like he's already under the US Youth system. Great grab.

Nigel should get his face on a pillar or something for being the Dynamo's unofficial historian. Seriously.

Anyone as right as often as Newtex is should either retire to a swamp and live in a mudhut while training awesome warriors (and speaking backwards) or save the princess on the Death Star while fighting the ultimate evil (and winning, I might add).

Or maybe we should just buy the pair of them beers?

If winning MLSC on a stopped PK, and being the most foulmouthed sob ever between the pipe, doesn't get you a statue, nothing will
