I think we'll see a few changes, but I'd rather we win it with a strong team comfortably rather than play a hard game with kids.

    I'd like to see

    -----------------------Cheech
    Welbeck--------------------------------------Nani
    ------------------------Powell
    -----------------Cleverley-----Anderson
    Buttner--------------------------------------Jones
    ---------------Vidic-----------Smalling
    ----------------------Anders

    Bench:

    Kids + Wayne and Shinji

On the bench for favorable circumstances, think it will be young for Welbeck

That makes sense, but I want Danny to get the start so that there's a chance to capitalize on his goal and keep his confidence high.

    I don't think there's a chance that Powell starts.

Ashley Young and Nani for sure in my opinion, along with chicharito. We'll see Vida and Smalling at the back. This is what I think we'll see:

    De Gea

    Rafael
    Smalling
    Vidic
    Evra

    Nani
    Cleverley
    Anderson
    Young

    Rooney
    Chicha

I don't think we'll see any youngsters, we have too big of a squad and other players need game time. I wonder what Nani's situation is now after he got left out of the Real Madrid game. Is Fergie trying to lower his price tag by not playing making him less effective? he genuinely thinks he can't offer more than what we played on Wednesday? is it because he is not signing the contract ? I would not be a happy camper if I were him, he missed a Champions League final because of Park Ji Sung and now a very big game where he could have been lethal...

Both Powell and Januzaj started for the U21's in a 3-1 loss to Tottenham today in London. Doubt we'll see them involved in this now.

Would love to see any of the U21's involved though either from the start or the bench. The draws have sucked for us this year in terms of getting home games to lower league clubs etc..

After reading that they played today, guess not, but Powell has been unlucky not to get more chances. He's done reasonably well when he's played.

you don't think an 18 year old can play on almost 2.5 days rest? the game isn't until 8PM Monday night.

I think that if he was in Fergie's plans, he wouldn't have played for the kids today.

I look at it as getting used to the speed of the game in preparation of Monday.

    I guess we'll find out! :)

I want Welbeck to start as a 9 but Hernandez needs games and needs to be played, I am not a big fan of having 4 9s at the club 3 9s and one two versatile attackers are enough but that is a separate debate, because he needs to be in positions as a 9 to get confidence not to fluff at easy opportunities.

This weekend without a match has been grueling.

    Thankfully it's almost over.

Cheech to start. He is in great form this year and deserves a game. Danny got Madrid after all.

They should both play. Need to rest Batman and Robin. Rooney's not really had a break since coming back and I'm pretty sure RvP's dip is fatigue-related. We need him for frankly more important competitions coming up, don't want to get the best of him for just half a season.

Fine with me. Just want Cheech to get a start. He is really becoming an Ole-type player for us, at least in terms of rotation, and these are the types of games Ole would get starts in.

RVP wants to play. He was making noise about it.

Let him grumble. Save some of that frustration for the later rounds.

    Cleverley, Anderson, Powell

Something like this please with Januzaj alongside a strong bench.

Don't disagree, but the time between this match and the next Madrid match makes me think he might start.

Nah, Cheech hasn't played for 2 weeks for us now. He will play this.

So unless they start together, don't see Van Persie starting.
