This is what I'm hoping for. Why was Severo Meza not there vs. jamaica? injured?

I'm more worried for the US game than this game. I think we're going to a lot better here. I also think the Honduras game against us in Azteca is more worrisome now.

That could be good in the long term. It would force the coaching staff to bring up the younger CB's... although initially the clear replacement is Ayala.

I like him more because of what he did. Fack the media. Yes they had a bad game but they will get their groove back. Media needs to stop giving them shit

It would be the fair thing to do, but denying him a call-up would be counterproductive.

consider the prostitute-gate in copa america with all of those suspensions and then the tranny-gate with vela/juarez got suspended and the rest fined. no punishment would could break the team unity because it will show double standard.

yeah, it would be bullshit if Maza doesn't get some sort of suspension just because he's a vet & captain while the other ones that got suspended were young guys

You are really going to compare what Maza did with that?

    A fine is sufficient.

Their manager Suarez (Colombian) does not have that philosophy. They will not park the bus, especially at home. They will try to keep possession as much as possible and attack methodically.

If this match were in the Azteca, maybe he would be tempted to use more of a defense and counter strategy Jamaica used since it was successful.

But in the San Pedro Sula? Not likely.
I expect a free flowing beautiful game from both sides.

Last time they played at Azteca they were talking a lot about how they were going to come out and attack, in reality, the parked the bus, took out the keys and threw them out the window.

Right. That was in the Azteca so I can see how it turned out that way. That was also under the Rueda regime.

Peralta is a waste, like I said before he can only score against u-23 teams, he doesnt do well against first team national sides. Drop him, plus he has a facial fracture. Call in Jimenez for his spot. People need to stop including Vela in their line ups, I highly doubt he comes back anytime soon. Salcido wont get dropped no matter how bad he plays, he probably hooks Chepo up with tranzies on the side. Paul Aguilar must get dropped stick Mier at RB. Chepo needs to realize that Fabian is not a DM, we need a faster midfield to fully utilize our attack. Dinosuars shouldn't be called up, Arce is a waste of a spot, hopefully Peña gets a shot. Chaton should receive a call up, as well as Luis Montes, we lack a play maker and I feel he is it. Gio shouldn't be called up if he is not going to play 90 mins poor guy travels and works his ass off to be taken out at half time.

I really hope they come out and actually play in both games because I think this Honduras team is not nearly as good as the one they had 4 years ago.

Honduras is playing at home so they will definitely attack

that style of play will favor us. in addition, i got faith that Chepo will finally re-arrange his formation and lineup so i can see us coming out with a win

i don't think we've won at Honduras since the '94 WC qualifiers  it's high time we change that

calling Peralta a "waste" is over the top. He's in the same boat as chicharo in terms of being ineffective due to chepo's formation. Peralta, for one, has better link up play, and passing than chicharo. He has more ways of finishing as well. Maybe he should get a chance of showing how well he can perform as a lone striker before we start assuming he's a nonfactor for Mexico.

not unless Hernandez is injured, the "owners" of the team wouldn't allow the "star of the team" to be benched.

No way Peralta should start over Chicharo. He has shown nothing. At least Chich has been dangerous and has actually scored even with shit service.

    for starters, no Salcido!

during the Chivas vs Monterrey game awhile ago, even the commentators were saying how much El Tri has needed Zavala and how Herrera needed assistance in the mid.

en pocas palabras, estaban diciendo que Salcido ya no cabe en El Tri

Wow one goal, the rest of the game he was twirling in circles trying to dribble when he clearly had other players in better position. Therefore if we have a lot of the same type of striker, which we do, give up his spot to bring in a different type of striker like Jimenez, though young, its never to early to get his feet wet.
