Four more players to play their first minutes in preseason, Johnson, Friedrich, Nyarko and Duka. Alex willing missing, due to him getting married (congrats), won't rejoin the team to phase 3 of preseason in Charleston, S.C. So if all four are fit and ready to play this is who will probably be starting tonight. http://www.chicago-fire.com/news/2013/02/game-notes-fire-vs-earthquakes -------MacDonald------------------Rolfe------- -----------------------Lindpere------------------- --Duka----------------------------------Nyarko-- ---------------------Larentowicz------------------ --Segares---Berry----Friedrich(c)---Anibaba-- ----------------------Johnson----------------------
Anibaba playin in the reserve match against USCB. Probably slot Pause in at RB (which I see you tried to avoid) That starting line-up, by the way is Tornaghi Anibaba-Steres*-McKenzie*-Gallagher** King-Thompson-Paladini-Videira Brettschneider*-Griffin* subs: Kann*, Rodrigo Lopez*, Pabon*, Mercado*, Carr*, Gulley *=trialist **-draftee
According to the game notes, people from the reserve match will be available for the second 4o minute half. Presumably 12 subs, since Frank said some people will get a half, some 60 mintues, and some the whole 80. My guess is Johnson goes the full 80, since Tornaghi getting game time in the reserves Back four will be Sega, Arne, Berry, and Pause or Kinney. My guess is whichever doesn't start at right back will get the second 40. Anibaba will probably play 20 or so at CB for Arne. Berry might go 80. Sega might get replaced by a trialist after 60, don't know who is a left back though Midfield will be Nyarko, Lindpere, Larentowicz and a toss up between Duka and Atouba. I'd prefer Atouba, to see what he is like with the big boys, since he has looked so good in the second halves of games. The other will get the second half Paladini and Thompson might get 20 minutes each for Larentowicz and Nyarko. Bone probably comes in for Lindpere at some point Forwards will be MacDonald and Rolfe. I suppose Amerikwa might get some time in the second half, though I'd prefer they both went 80.
Lets go 4-3-3 ____________Mackie_____________ ___Nyarko______________Rolfe_____ ___________Lindpere_____________ _______Big Red_____Pause______ Sega_____Berry__Arne____Kinney
on the bench in a guest player role Rodrigo Lopez currently with Orlando City, right sided midfielder.
What exactly does guest player mean? Just training or playing but with no prospect of getting signed?
I think in a way a mini-loan, they are under contract or have their rights claimed by another club. But Im not really sure as far as MLS rules on it.
starting 11 for San Jose Johnson; Pause (C), Friedrich, Berry, Segares; Nyarko, Larentowicz, Lindpere, Duka; Rolfe, MacDonald subs Belshaw**, Kinney, Anibaba, Thompson, Bone, Paladini, Atouba*, Amarikwa^
start of 2nd half of reserve game 1 sub -Rodrigo Lopez for Anibaba, Im assuming Thompson slides back to RB.
50' - Fire substitution: Borfor Carr* enters the match for Brendan King Im actually kind of interested in this guy.
UCSB red card, per Jeff Crandall on twitter "Wow #16 for UCSB just stomped on Borfor Carr's special area"
