    Burkina Faso getting hosed in OT vs. Ghana in the ACN semi. Winning goal disallowed for a high kick(?), then a player sent off for diving on what looked like a pretty clear foul in the box.\

    Going to PK shootout now...

    They aren't playing their strongest side, no. But they have changed a lot since the Euros.

    Van Rhijn, Indi, Strootman, Lens, Narsingh, and van der Vaart have all become starters since the Euros disaster for them. There is plenty of auditioning going on for places in the squad, but they have taken steps forward and moved on from some of the failures that played in Poland/Ukraine.

    Afellay is still injured for another 3 or 4 weeks, that's why he's not there.

    Hummels can play defensive midfielder for sure, but no he's playing as a centerback in this game (I'm watching it on ESPN2, along with Burkina Faso-Ghana on ESPN3). And you're right, we'd have to pay 35-40M to get him. Would be the best option for us now if it became possible to sign him, he is a top defender and very strong on the ball.

    Every time he ESPN guy said the BF keeper's name, I kept hearing "The Architect" and thought what a cool footballing nickname. But it's Diakité (Dee-AH-kee-teh). :p

    Some guy in a Barca shirt ran out in the Sweden match in Stockholm and hugged and kissed Messi on the head.

    Messi can't seem to play any friendly in Europe without some guy storming the pitch to hug him.

    That's actually worrying security wise.

    It's a newborn lol. You could wrap your hand around a new born's head unless it's Shaq O' Neal's gigantic kid or something.

    Kid is lucky that by the time he's fifteen Shakira will be fifty so maybe all his buddies won't be harassing him wanting to go meet his mum just to drool looking at her. Though you never know.
