guardado is a hustler, i rather put him at LB since he's too predictable as LM/LW on the NT and all he can do is send crosses to no one. he's been doing it for Valencia and at this point is a safer bet than Torres Nilo who might just shit his pants in Honduras

Chaton is a fckin HUSTLER. that's what we need. we need someone with balls that is not afraid to get dirty. Chaton = Torrado 2.0 Herrera was not defensive enough vs Jamaica. Chaton is the answer

we need speed in the build up play. put fabian in the middle and Gio on the right and Vela on the left and let them roam, interchanging positions at times. drive the Honduras defense mad and create chances for Chicharito.

Ofcourse, we need Vela to fckin play.

What about Nestor Vidrio or Israel Jimenez on RB?

Meza would do fine, even Aquino would be better as RB than freaking Aguilar.
Vela is not going to come, you need to play Gio behind the striker and give him a lot of freedom or you will just waste his talent and please don't even let Maza be close to the NT anymore.

Honduras will play an open game which will definitely favor us with the types of players we have on the offense, but our backline & DMs need to be on their A game

that means no Salcido, Aguilar, and Maza. despite Torres Nilo having a shit game last night, i will give him the benefit of the doubt because we've all seen how solid he is in other games. hopefully last night was just a bad day for him.

this is what i am hoping to see against Honduras:

    ------------------------------Corona------------------------------

    ---Meza---------------Mier---------Moreno--------------Torres Nilo---

    -----------------------Zavala-------Herrera------------------------------

    ---Gio--------------------------------------------------Guardado----------

    -------------------------Fabian----------------------------------------------

    --------------------------------Chicharo-------------------------------------

Chepo getting rid of Salshito is a pipe dream. I'm expecting Aguilar to be dropped for sure though.

Can someone tell Chepo to not allow our guys to cross the ball if everyone is standing still? It is as wasteful as Salcido's 55 yard shots.

I might be crazy, but does anybody here see Raul Jimenez starting up top with Chicharito, over Peralta? I mean if he keeps scoring, I wouldn't be surprised to see him start, and I think it would be great considering his size and his mobility, not to mention his current scoring form. Could cause a lot of havoc in the back line for the Catrachos.

it would be the same, he is the same kind of player as Peralta and it is more than obvious that the team needs a player like Fabian, Giovani or Vela behind whoever the striker is.

The difference is that Jimenez has size, unlike Peralta. Plus, Peralta hasn't scored in 2 Jornadas (I think), while Jimenez (I think) has 3 goals in 2 games. My thing is, we should give Jimenez a chance now to show what he can do, since I think we all know he is the future starting 9 of our NT. The way I see it, if he starts doing well in the qualifiers, he might get picked up by a decent European team in the summer, of course let's just hope he actually is let go by America. :D

we don't know if he is even going to keep scoring so let's not hype him yet, but my point is that Mexico needs a playmaker behind the striker and neither Jimenez, Peralta or Hernandez are that guy, the team needs to stop trying to play 4-4-2 and go use the 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-1-1

Playing with 9 dudes? Well if the two we get rid of are Salcido/Maza, then that formation could work!

I find it funny how easy it was for Aguilar to just start a WCQ after just one call up and one bad performance in a friendly, he should give Chavez a shot

If chepo gets 3 points in Honduras and against the nads in azteca everybody will forget about the Jamaica game. I had Mexico with 7 points after 3 games before the hex started with us dropping points at Honduras.

first.. don't color your text, this isn't outlook.

second.. you have a point, Jimenez does have that edge right now. let's see if he keeps it up. I say throw him in some meaningless friendlies before WC qualifiers. If he does well, give him some minutes. It took a lot for Peralta to finally start on the team.

Like i said in the Jamaica thread..

I hope Honduras comes out the same way they came out against the Nads. If they park the bus it will be a lot harder for us to win.

I would almost bet that Honduras will do exactly what they did against the USA. I can't see them sitting back.
