Earthquakes president David Kaval just tweeted that stadium construction would begin by the 26th of this month.

I believe this a bit more than other MLS press releases. It gives a firm date, not the usual 60-90 days
There was this announcement - http://m.theglobeandmail.com/news/p...s-charest-says/article4515087/?service=mobile But must not have happened/happened yet.
Whatever they did, they probably didn't bring Guinness in (as the Quakes did) to officially monitor and document the event.
I would tend to give the benefit of the doubt if I could see the final design, a mockup or the last word blueprints, something concrete that says; This is exactly what we're building and how it will actually look.
That's the big mystery. Nothing really new out for awhile. However, with construction starting in three weeks we should hopefully see something more up to date soon.
They don't have to show me the blueprints, but once steel starts arriving at the site, that's good enough for me. I remember how excited us KC fans were when the bulldozers started ripping old Bannister Mall down. Good luck!
