Proves my theory - half this country is certifiable. And as always, more guns = more indiscriminate death. Why shoot the friggin' dog? His more recent title published in early February 2012, is "The Big Bamboozle: 9/11 and the War on Terror." That work details Marshall's theory that it was not al-Qaida but actually officials in the U.S. and Saudi Arabian governments that orchestrated the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
Missed this one yesterday, my bad DENVER (CBS4) – Two children were killed Wednesday morning in a shooting incident in a Northeast Denver home that claimed their mother’s life and left their sister critically injured. The shooting left two children, Nevaeh and Eric, and their mother, Mayra Perez, dead in the 4900 block of Pearl Street. Another child, Isabelle, who was injured survived and was rushed to the hospital. That child was listed in critical condition after surgery on Wednesday afternoon. http://denver.cbslocal.com/2013/02/06/northeast-denver-shooting-deaths/ It was just reported that 3 Riverside cops were shot by former LA cop, one fatally. He's wanted for other murders (including a daughter of an LAPD cop) & is hell-bent on killing those who he thinks caused him to be fired from the force. Here's the dude: http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/l...-Sheriffs-Official-Monica-Quan-190106131.html
In a related vein, we have so many gun enthusiasts in this country who bear arms to uphold the Constitution and all that, but our all-volunteer Army has never hurt more for recruits...
"Oh, but the Swisss!!!!" said one "Second Amendment Defender"... http://www.washingtonpost.com/world...e1d-11e2-ac36-3d8d9dcaa2e2_story.html?hpid=z3
Again, how anyone can talk about Swiss gun ownership and not point out the highly restrictive and regulated manner in which ammunition is controlled and accounted for in Switzerland is beyond me. There seems to be an assumption that all those guns in Switzerland means that it's somehow easy to load up on ammo for then, as well. Not true.
And they forget to mention their high gun suicide rate, that most people that has guns has been trained in their use and that they also have their share of mass shootings (although not as deadly as in the US).
even if I were to grant you that "well regulated" doesn't necessarily mean subject to Government regulation, the context of the 2nd amendment right to bear arms is still within that of a militia for the designated purpose of defending the state. outside of that context and that purpose, we don't have a constitutional right to bear arms. but this constitutional right doesn't really apply today because these days, the US has a regular Army, and we don't have any private militias (well-regulated or otherwise) whose express purpose is to protect the security of the state. so this 2nd amendment right to bears arms is essentially N/A in today's world. only by taking it out of context (well-regulated militia) and ignoring the purpose (ensuring the security of the state) has the NRA been able to hijack the 2nd amendment and use it for their nefarious purposes in a way that the founding fathers never intended.
the Swiss have exactly the kind of system that the 2nd amendment envisioned. a citizen army that is well-regulated (including allowing the guns to be kept at home, but the ammunition at military bases) for the express purpose of ensuring the security of the state. if you want to see what the 2nd amendment right to bear arms should look like, and how it was intended, look at the Swiss. the Swiss are a perfect illustration of what the 2nd amendment right to bear arms looks like in practice.
But them's Yooropeins. We don't cotton t' them Yooropeein laws 'round heah. oooooowwwwwwoooOOOOOOooooooooo
2 Stories of the 2nd Amendment Freedoms (with snaky comments) http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/02/...ult-rifle-stolen-from-new-orleans-police-car/ If only the car/gun/police office had another gun handy to protect the gun. http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2013/02/06/1549871/gun-giveaway-pennsylvania/ Hey I just came in from NOLA and wanted to see what you had that was free around here
I should have gone with: I just met you And this is crazy But I just "found" this assault rifle Some can I have some ammo, maybe? EDIT: I only wrote this after making sure that you cannot neg rep anymore
That's my dog. Only when I walk her, she has no cigar and no gun. Her leash is pink with a heart-shaped clasp, and she wears bright orange booties to protect her feet if it's snowy. Takes a real man to pull that off.
This guy's named Christopher Doran and is still at large. This morning there were reports that he is could be in San Diego. And that cops in LA have shot up a car that looked like his but wasn't. Here's the online manifesto he left behind. It's like Serpico on steroids. Seriously thinking about hiding out in TJ until this blows over.
Seems like he's out to kill cops and their families methodically, can't expect this will end well or even quickly.
Thet don't matter none- we still got th' rights to protect ourselves an' our familehs with bah fillin' crimin'l types with hot layedd whenevuh we gits a-hankerin' t' dew so! Steve Martin's a hell of a player, BTW.
This situation is pretty jaw-dropping and I hope it ends soon. But I was just skimming that manifesto he left behind, via the LA Times site -- and on pages 10 and 11 he goes into a prolonged pro-gun control rant. He actually outlines the loopholes he used to purchase the guns and calls out the ATF and Congress to close them, he namechecks Aurora, Newtown and Portland, and admonishes the gun manufacturers that made the guns he is intending to use during his current rampage. "Why does any sportsman need a 30 round magazine? Why does anyone need a suppressor? Why does anyone need a AR15 rifle?....Are you aware that I obtained a class III weapons without a background check....?... ...I hope you will realize that the small arms I utilize should not be accessed with the ease that I obtained them. Who in there[sic] right mind needs a f/cking silencer!!!...." And so on and so on. I'm not really trying to make a point here -- I'm just shaking my head. That is beyond bizarre. Again -- I'm hoping that this somehow ends soon. But good thoughts to all in the region.
He also says he fully supports the federal government. That's different. He says it's strictly the LAPD he is after. Anderson Cooper says he received a package from him last week. http://www.latimes.com/entertainmen...ackage-from-fugitive-20130207,0,6906979.story
The Supreme Court of the United States disagrees with your rhetorical analysis. None of what you say here is accurate or true but carry on.
They can disagree all they want. They'll come around. It's not like the SC has never reversed itself before. Now tell me what about anything I said is not accurate or true.
