That would have been vital. When your fans turn on you, it becomes a lot harder to get out of the hole. Shame the USA couldn't keep the 0-1 for five more mins...

Tell that to the Mexican media.

Biggest bunch of over confident douches walking.

Every game in Concacaf should be 3-0 for Mexico,Mexican team is wasting it's time in this region, they belong with Conmebol.

    BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

and the fans buy that crap.

I looked through their lineup, and the only EPL "reinforecement" I saw is Jobi McAnuff. Who are the others? The other guy Adrian Mariappa from Reading, was a part of the squad in the semifinal round.

Well it is for their own safety. Don't feel too bad, those Jamaican fans got to be @ Azteca for a historic draw. A great way to start the Hex and got to get to their hotels safely.

(Even though admittedly Azteca was half full)

Mexico had grown overconfident. They believed themselves better than Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, etc. and were talking arrogant stuff on the Latin American soccer forums. Serves them right.

They tried to make the US fans leave last time. They refused so eventually the cops gave up.

These clowns are the biggest Concacaf haters (Mexico must join CONMEBOL).

Probably say region still sucks ass, and suddenly Mexico sucks as well.

Mexico ought to spread their games around their country. The capital didn't bother to show up for this less noteworthy Hex game, but I'm sure if they played this in any of the other big cities they would have sold the match out to enthusiastic fans.

Really? Wow they must get under your skin easily then, I'll tell you one thing though none of our players were overconfident.

The fans are fickle because they expect A result when you raise tickets prices. The team was crap and the fans were worse. but please don't state lies. And I agree with the sentiment of getting games out of the azteca

I should have said English reinforcements - Marvin Elliott from Bristol, Gareth McLeary from Reading, and Theo Robinson from Derby. All are very capable players from what I saw.

A lot of Mexican fans have been getting ahead of themselves, which I understand considering the program has been very successful recently. You have U 17 and U 23 gold medals as well as the regional championship title at the moment. Not a lot has gone wrong for Mexico and it's got a select group of fans a bit overconfident.

It reminds me a bit of the US program after the World Cup. The US had won the 2007 Gold Cup, the Confederation's Cup final run, won a World Cup group and some US fans were starting to get a high opinion of the program. Perhaps a bit higher than they deserved.

I know we lost but at least we did not give up points at home to Jamaica.

Everyone thought Mexico would just roll over everyone. Now it seems like everyone including Mexico is going to have a hard time. (Still a long way to go... ... I also know.)
