I'm in St. Louis for its Mardi Gras this weekend. For the FCB x S04 match I found a couple places online: OB Clark's (30 min. from where I'm staying) and the Amsterdam Tavern (45 Min.). Amsterdam wasn't open when I called but OB Clark's says they'll be open and showing any game I want.

Any comments about 1) either place and/or 2) anyplace else anyone can recommend? I'm staying in O'Fallon, N and W of St. Louis.

Oh and any St. Louis Mardi Gras tips? FYI I'll be there with my fiancée and her brothers.

I hope you don't speak from experience, but even sans adam's apple I'm not moving on it. She is E P I C. Fiancée puts up with my: 1) footy gear/memorabilia collection, 2) footy watching, 3) wearing Bayern stuff everywhere, 4) starting up conversations about footy with random persons, even non-English speakers, 5) nascent raging alcoholism (gracias Linie Aquavit!), 6) watching public television, and she 7) plays great volleyball (although it would be nice if she had a better vertical). I'm no Lothar Matthäus, I know when I've got it good. FFS though, no Bayernfans in St. Louis? Good grief.

Actually St Louis was and still is historically an enormously soccer rich community. I am sure there will be no lack of places to view a match.

Cool city - gateway to the West. Starting point of the Lewis and Clark expedition.

Naturally Anheiser Busch is the biggest claim to fame. Heavy German influence

Good ol' AB InBev. Bud is now as German as Beck's, which is to say Not At All.

    InBev is the beer Antichrist.:devilish:

Now the point is moot anyhow. The parade that we will be at starts at 11 and - a couple months back - when I calendared the match I thought it was at 8.30am, not 11.30. Oh well.
