Shocking lineup. High risk, hopefully high reward.

well.. I've had enough. I wanted BB gone, thought JK might be good for us. I was wrong. We will be lucky to even go to the show.

JK's player selection, playing too many defensive players, lack of any kind of offense or player that could even generate any offense, and his over reliance on German players have sealed his fate in my mind.

Im sure US Soccer wont do anything but he has got to go before he buries hs

Awful. Lineup was a risk that blew up in our face. Subs were terrible.

This is not a well coached team. On the first Honodorus goal, no one knew what to do or who to cover. The scheme is opaque, the tactics nonexistent, the selection terrible. Frankly, if he needs to get on his knees and kiss Donovan's behind to get him back, he needs to do that now.

He is now in the running with Sampson as our worst coach ever

Fireable offenses from JK. Awful plan, awful, subs, awful choices. I would not complain if Arena or Bradley were hired tomorrow. Guy is zen-clueless.

Not sure it was a good idea to bench the experienced Boca for this game, but I think the actual goals that we gave up were a little bit unlucky. I might be in the minority here, but I thought Gonzo and Cameron played okay.

    My bigger issues:

    - Subbing out EJ. He looked like our only consistent attacking threat.
    - Calling up Kljestan and Zusi. Useless players at this level.
    - Subbing in Kljestan and Zusi. Useless players at this level.

We have some legitimate problems that no amount of coaching is going to cover up.

Having said that, the coaching didn't put us in position to get the best result. I'd rather see EJ and Gatt on the wings running around with their hair on fire for 90 minutes than pray the the incredibly slow Kljestan and Zusi will find some offense.

Bradley wouldn't even leave his situation in Egypt to come here. Sigi or Kinnear on the other hand...

Simple problem right here. The coaching was shit. The problem was that Klinsmann got scared of an inferior team because its on the road and the fans are blowing horns. Look, this is pathetic. We are a better team. We sat back and bunkered, and tried to rely on a weak defense. Its clear that our defense is and was the weakness.

I don't care where the game is played. If you sit back, bunker, and hope to play for a point, you will lose. Honduras isn't a world beater, but if you let any reasonably skilled National Team have all day on the wings, have all the space in the world in the midfield, and have no pressure on the defenders, you will get beat.

The players playing out of the positions they normally play at their clubs is a repeated error in judgment by JK. Klejstan completely lost on the wing and Cameron lacked sharpness in defense.

That was one of the least enjoyable USMNT games I've ever seen.

How many dual eligibility players did we have on the field? I've never seen less passion from a squad.

Terrible lineup, no tactics, no passion. The subs were fine. Jurgen is too naive about CONCACAF for this job. First Jamaica, now Honduras. ******** this, we're in trouble.

You must have a short memory. This game sucked, but pretty much the entire last Gold Cup was far more painful.

EJ should have stayed on... one of our few players that didn't look gassed. Gomez should have gone in for Jozy at about the 65 min mark.

    Not great subs IMO.

I thought JK's substitute pattern appeared to be trying not to lose, as opposed to trying to win. I was thinking this during the game. He didn't seem to push the starters long enough before dropping the three subs too early. Just my $.02

Hindsight is 20-20, but we seemed WAY to scared of a team we have beat on the road the last two cycles.

    1. Klinsmann subbed out two guys who were playing well in EJ and Jermaine Jones.
    2. The team looked immediately worse after Zusi and Klejstan came in.
    3. Edu for D. Williams was the right choice and Edu actually played pretty well.
    4. Chandler had a shocker, was being singled out as the weak link by Honduras and should have been taken out.
    5. Absolutely no offensive firepower on the bench. Zero.
    6. I thought the loss was a fairly predictable result. I don't expect us to win against Costa Rica playing like this.

Yeah, that's the way I saw it. His lineup was more aggressive and risk-taking (including the two young CBs on the road) than I'd thought he'd come out with, and while we can debate it, I won't throw Jürgen completely under the bus for that. But the sub pattern and timing is disappointing, and once he brought out the subs our chance to press the issue evaporated.

Didn't get the EJ sub, he was pretty good (in comparison to everyone else) and Klesjian was so fcking bad, literally did not do one thing right in about 15-20 chances, not even a simple back pass. I would've liked to see Gomez for Johnson IF he was going to pull Johnson, but if not put Gomez in for Altidore and let him just run around and delay us conceding a goal at least.
