Goodnight! I'm scared to see how much tickets will cost in the rest of the stadium!

So, um, what happened to the Rapids season ticket holder pre-sale?

I think they're trying to negotiate a better deal for STH's.

Keep in mind the AO pre-sale is for the standing supporters section only, which means the south stands.

And right now it just says "likely sections - south stands" They haven't even nailed that down yet.

Just talked to a ticket rep, there is still going to be a season-ticket holder pre-sale, probably next week. It will only be 24 hours long though.

I think all that means is they are waiting to see exactly how many people pre-order. I can't imagine it would be anywhere other than the south stands.

Am I directionally challenged, thought South end was all the seats and North was Standing supporter section.

    South is seating

Yes. The terraces are at the north end, and the south is the "bottom" of the horseshoe.

The terraces aren't large enough to hold AO. I believe the south stands is where they were for the Women's game last fall too.

I think it actually has more to do with security and FIFA regulations requiring all-seater stadiums.

Is there any CONCACAF rule about having terraces? I know they weren't allowed to be used during CCL play.

Are they really terraces anymore? I thought the stands that were put in place last year were basically bleachers and everyone just stood in them as opposed to the actual terraces used in the previously. If they are terraces without a place to sit, then that I would guess that is absolutely the reason why.

I gotta say I'm a little offended by the AO guy who made the announcements at the bulldog today and said the terrace "sucked" and they weren't the greatest seats in the place.

The seats will be in the south end... in theory, ao could sell out the entire stadium and then we'd be everywhere... its starting in the south and branching in either direction depending on demand

we make it fun... but hes absolutely right... its an awful place to stick the supporters...its stadium siberia, plus the acoustics and sight lines are terrible as we are so isolated

I think they were trying to do the equivelamt of the broncos south stands but now that we are on bleachers and not shady wood planks the view is much better. It's nice being on the side of where the opposing players warm up to get in their heads as much as possible. It's also nice to have a place to be a little more pg-13/R rated as opposed to where the kids all are. It also doesn't help the acoustics when you have 2 different groups there chanting different things. Hopefully when the supporter merger happens it will sound a lot better when everyone is on the same page. I enjoy having my season tickets there and have for quite some time but I take offense to someone I never see there. Especially while watching the US game while wearing a kilt and a smedium shirt when he clearly needed a 2x.
They do need to get rid of jfk's grassy knolls. Such a wasted space.

That is pretty obnoxious considering what the rapids SGs are planning on doing to support them for this game.
