2 strikers again  hopefully it won't be as boring as I think it will be.
Does anyone know how well the ticket sells are doing?

if the two striker experiment is not working and we don't score in the 1st half, i hope Chepo quickly starts off the 2nd half subbing out Oribe and moving Gio behind Chicharo with Aquino coming in to play on the right.

If that line up is correct, it will be the first time Gio has featured as a wide player under Chepo. I don't see it happening to be honest. Chepo likes those wide players to help with defending a lot. I still expect to see Aquino on the right, with either Peralta or Gio playing alongside/behind Chicha.

I don't mind two strikers against teams that are gonna park the bus, hopefully Oribe is up to the task of playing that Rooney/RVP role.

5 consecutive games with two strikers and it hasn't looked good in any of them.

Wish he would just go 4-2-3-1 with Fabian/Gio or Gio/Aquino

I like Peralta but he isn't good enough where we have to struggle to accommodate him in the starting lineup, especially in WCQ.

true in a sense, if you remember the last games when Chicharo and Oribe started together, there were a lot of goal chances created, but our finishing was absolutely terrible. We have also struggled when using a 4-2-3-1 against teams that park the bus. We need that extra striker to occupy the CB's. Now when we get to the Confed cup im sure Chepo will go to the 4-2-3-1, because we wont have the ball for 80% of the game. It makes sense, people here are just spazzing, different tactics for different situations. We will not see a 2 CF starting squad against the top teams.

Doesn't Cheech struggle when he's the lone forward?

Yes especially when teams park the bus, so you cant really blame him. If We played with one striker the field would look like this, "x" are Jamaican players

    --X-----X--Chicharo -X-X----X

    ----------X-----X-------X-------

    --------X------------------X

    ----------------X-----------------------

It would be Chicharo against 3 CB's with a wall of 3 maybe 4 right in front of that line. The lineup makes sense because Herrera, Nilo, and Aguilar can move up when we are attacking making us look something like this

    ---------------------Chicharo-------------------
    -----------------Oribe--------Gio------
    -Nilo/Guardado----------------------------Aguilar
    ---------------------------Herrera------------------

    ---------Moreno---------Salcido--------Maza-----

Gio is still gonna be able to play free for the most part because Aguilar will be occupying the wing for a lot of the match. As long as we stay attentive on any counter they will try, we will be fine.

That's why I don't get why people want to play with one striker. Didn't Cheech play as a lone striker once for ManU and looked like a total pylon?

If Chepo were thinking about that 4-2-3-1 formation, he would have tried it in friendlies. I don't think he'll try it now... Knowing him, he'll probably put tronco Aldo out there before we see 3 behind cheech.

Huh? Most of his goals during his first season at United came when he played as a "lone" striker with Roojey behind him. Mexico won a Gold Cup with him playing as a "lone" forward with Gio behind him. A Gold Cup in which he scored 7 goals, I might add. Chicha + Gio has worked.

Wasn't it technically a 4-4-2 at ManU though, with Rooney dropping back to get the ball from time to time? Only Reason Cheech stayed up top first season was because he couldn't dribble to save his life.

And none of them look torn over Carlos Vela's absence. Maybe they don't miss him as much as we do.
