With the amount of beer they drink, everyone looks like eye candy.

Either that, or watered-down Southern rock.

When people say "I like all music, except for country," I hear "I don't know shit about music." And bringing up anything you've heard on the radio is like saying "I don't like the Allman Brothers because I heard the Black Eyed Peas once."

Well, it certainly wasn't me that said, "I like all music but . . ." I dislike many different kinds of music and many different bands and artists. I do not like country music in general. As I said, I do like blue grass and I like certain artists when they do different things. For example, I've got a Willie Nelson blues album that I actually like quite a bit even though I'm not a big fan of his generally.

Really? The intransigence of these people is such that they are a drain on our economy. This is the economic equivalent of hearing that smoking causes lung cancer and rushing out to buy cigarettes en masse. This is the political equivalent of hearing that your candidate shot his underage sexual partner in the kidneys "for fun" and praising that candidate louder still. The arguments from status-quo individuals are so entrenched in warped logic that nothing short of spending billions of dollars to build a penal colony and threatening to send them there could force them to change their views! Heck, worked for Australia! Even they have gun control.

It's not the Second Amendment's fault. It's the people who interpret it.

    The courts?

They have done it 2 times.

But yes it is the 2nd; "right to bear arms shall not be infringed" needs to go IMO.

Do you even understand karma? Not justification, but karma. For all the justification out there, correct or not, karma reached out to the guy and killed him with a gun.

Was at the Bluebell (I think that is the name) a year or so ago. What a great show with an audience of around 100 to 150. And there are other places similar. And the music was more folksly than country.

GLEN ROSE, TX—Tragedy struck on Saturday as famed former sniper Chris Kyle reportedly was shot and killed at a local gun range, marking a bitter end to the life of a renowned Navy SEAL who had survived long, brutal years in the hellish landscape of the United States. “This man endured countless risks and witnessed indescribable horrors during his extended time in America, but in the end, his luck just ran out,” Glen Rose Police Department spokesman James Alvarez said of Kyle, whose shooting death was just one of hundreds of senseless acts of violence recorded in the United States so far this year. “Unfortunately, life here is cruel and unpredictable. Chris’ death is a reminder of that.” Alvarez added that though Kyle’s death is tragic, he hoped it would serve to convince people that it is “high time” all Americans were pulled out of the United States of America entirely.

I drank copiously, but they weren't tourists (though some were probably expats). I was equally drunk most places I visited throughout my life, so that really isn't a factor. Probably the most overrated place I've been in that aspect is London. I'd even put Dublin on par with Barcelona, but still below Prague. Rome is very good as well, but below Paris. Milan has too many wannabe models putzing around, but it's overrated as well.

People who say stuff like that generally don't dig very deep past what's popular/well-known/easily accessible. Kinda like the people who will glibly say "there's no good music being made now" because they don't like the stuff that's on Top 40 radio or played on the big music video channels.

    gotta love the warped logic of your paranoia;

FTR Austalia was a penal colony. The very stats in the last two pages clearly demonstrated that the logic of less guns equals more violent crimes is not as warped as you would like for it to be.

To say that it is somehow an economic crisis, well it is actually a booming industry right now and the more you talk about "doing something, anything" just causes it to flourish that much more. Well actually it can't boom anymore without adding new factories since nearly everybody is at peak capacity right now. New inventory is sold out before it even hits the shelves.

You can't even get the democratic party on your side on this. When Harry Reid is hem hawing around it doesn't look good for your side...

If we can somehow agree to collect each week's mass shooting data, we could turn this into a drinking game for Friday and Saturday nights.

    Example:

More than ______ people shot by the same perp- 1 shot per incident
If a child is involved- 2 shots per incident
If the perp knows the victims- 3 shots per incident
If the perp is related to the victims- turn the mother up

Do you know what paranoia is? I understand that the risk of me dying in a car accident or at the hands of a shooter are much smaller than my risk of death from things like cancer. I'm not afraid of a shooter every corner. THAT'S paranoia. What you are describing is frustration. I'm frustrated that conservatives see a problem and believe the status quo is the answer. I think making massive scientific and technological progress whilst eliminating a major roadblock to joining the rest of the industrialized, developed world isn't a terrible idea. I'm not saying kill conservatives, I'm saying we give them a libertarian utopia free from the confines of government. On a whole new world.

Yeah but cirrhosis of the liver sounds a lot like psoriasis of the skin and psoriasis of the skin is what killed Bolingbroke otherwise known as King Henry IV (who deposed Richard II from the House of Plantagenet) and who was the first monarch from the House of Lancaster which was one of the houses locked in the famous dynastic struggle between competing branches of the House Plantagenet known as The War of the Roses and just today it was announced that skeletal remains found in a parking lot in Leicester have in fact been confirmed to be that King Richard III who of course was the last monarch from the House of York which of course was the other combatant in that very same War of the Roses or DID I JUST BLOW YOUR MIND?

You are talking to someone who has changed their views significantly because of the school shooting and this thread. I dont consider myself a conservative, but most of you guys would probably consider me one. You came into the thread 240 pages into it and post that. Its pretty obvious you havent read much of the conversation beforehand. I just thought it was a very arrogant post and responded in a manner consistant with other responses that take place in this forum.

For what its worth i actually agree with most of the post you had after this one.
