Right. In 2016, the NASL will be ready to take on MLS, because that's how soccer works: Division 2 leagues are always allowed to "compete" with Division 1.

Why does anyone take seriously anything these idiots say? Who are they talking to, anyway? The ignorant mainstream sports media? Soccer-ignorant mainstream fans who figure the NASL will be like the AFL, ABA, or WHL? It's certainly not soccer fans, who understand that a Division 2 league is just that, 2nd-level, enforced by the USSF.

In fact Australia, Oceania, the Caribbean, and North America (possibly including Mexico depending on if the BBC considers it to be Central America or not) are the only major regions not mentioned in the report.

i guess that is one benefit of uber-parity and super low salary cap ... predicting any individual game is pretty much impossible ... even if you tried to fix it ... because the talent level is low (compared to top leagues) with very little spread.

Is it possible that Jack Warner is somehow NOT involved in this gambling and game-fixing?!

More likely no inroads could be made because this turf was already taken ;)

That's odd, as a rigged-games scandal just basically killed the Canadian Soccer League.

He was talking to the Whitestar Warriors of the soccer world, you know, the choir. It's just not the kind of music most of us would listen to.

Wasn't it a Europol investigation? Once again, all the attention seems focused on Euro soccer.
