With Zdenek Zeman fired, I see a number of players heading out of the club this upcoming summer...
    1) Goicoechea (this was actually Zeman's major mistake this season, costing him his job)
    2) Piris (I don't think we will invest in him, with the recent purchase of Torosidis, guess we will find someone cheaper and less experienced from South America, as a back up to the Greek)
    3) Tachtsidis (I don't see anyone except for Zeman willing to risk his job by keeping DDR on the bench and plying the Greek giant, who's been mediocre so far)
    4) Osvaldo (I think this will be the last season for Ozzy with us, and likely will be sold within the boundaries of Serie A - ?Juve ?Inter ?Fiorentina...I will hate this decision, but I see our management trying to make profit from him, until they can...I don't know what to think...Even though I am for youth development, in any case you cannot leave your attack entirely dependent on kids - Lamela, Destro, N.Lopez and Pjanic)....

I tend to agree with most of that.

Goico is on loan and I don't think Roma would renew it. Tachtsidis is half owned and I suppose Roma will try to get Genoa to agree to loan him out.

Piris situation is different and has noting to do with Zeman. He is unlucky we are poor club. Had we bought him outright his place would be secured. However we did not buy him and he costs 4 million euros. Therefore I don't think he will be purchase. Especially since Sabatini is in love with Jung ... Then again Sabatini might be let go.

Osvaldo is hard to gauge, I doubt it. Then again if you want to seriously develop Destro then Osvaldo needs to move on.

I think Stekelenburg will also be moved on.

Move on Osvaldo and then what?...replace him with another youngster. You need a good mix of youth and experienced players. I would not be happy to have Destro as the sole striker of Roma

I'm pretty sure if Osvaldo was moved on some type of alternative would brought in. I just feel that Roma can't hope to develop Destro if he doesn't play every weekend. Loaning him out is not a solution. Knowing Roma wanted to sell Osvaldo and Zeman stoped them I would not be surprised if they were to revisit it.

    Go for it.

I think Tax is worth keeping as well as Piris. Piris is proving himself at his price level

Osvaldo has that Pepe Reina quality off the pitch, where he can lighten up the locker room and keep people laughing. But as soon as Roma picked up Destro I figured his days were numbered.

I like Pablo a lot, but he can be frustrating to watch when he plays.

Osvaldo should be one of the first ones out the door.

God he's nowhere close to being a 17m player.

To be honest, I wouldn't be opposed to Osvaldo leaving. He has his moments but he drives me mad. His attitude, body language, tendency to get booked and red carded for the most ioditic of things. His attitude for me symoblizes all that is wrong with our project at the moment.

Zeman has stated recently Osvaldo is second in ability only to Totti on the team....He is a class act and worth every penny we paid for him

Thats an ego quote that a coach uses to try to get a player out of forms confidence up.

Osvaldo is not even one of our top 3 attackers skill wise.

Define "skill".....He has incredible technique at taking difficult balls down, chest or feet, can use both feet and has shown ability to makes passes such as away at Inter with the outside of his boot, showing his skill set is very good....This shows a footballer who is confident of his ability..His dribbling is decent but he's no Messi..There is more to skill on a football pitch than doing stepovers and dribbling around 3-4 players...

Anyway, yeah our management will probably try to sell him because he is of worth and buy some more kids...Arsenal 2.0 in the making

Tough situation because you either need someone who can pair with Destro, have someone who can accept a bench role for a bit, or someone older. That way Destro can still develop

I still want to see an Osvaldo-Destro partnership in a typical striker duo. I remember they played next to each other for Italy once and they didn't look too bad. I think Destro ended up scoring.

We will be lucky to get more than 7.5m for him in the summer.

You would have clubs queuing around the block for him at that price. But carry on sprouting your bs, it does make me laugh and helps split up my day

You can have all the skill in the world, but if you're not producing, you won't be at the disposal of the coach. Osvaldo produces...he needs to play.

You should get a job on the Roma board then, you sound like you would fit in well...
While I agree on your opinion about Piris, when calling someone an idiot, its better to put the sentence together in proper English. *You're an Idiot...Glad to help

Piris has played very well considering this is his first season in Serie A and opposing teams have been specifically targeting him. 4m for him is nothing. Even if we brought in a superior RB and Piris was just a backup, 4m for a backup is a reasonable price.
