i'm guessing AVB sees Dempsey as a striker as well... Also Dembele has played striker many times in the past and looked pretty good at it. Holtby could slot in for Dembele in the back but thats not really his position either, he is a true #10 behind the striker.

    IDEALLY:

    --------Damiao-----------
    Bale---Holtby-----Lennon
    ----Parker------Dembele--

...sadly Deuce is not part of that but he hasn't shown he deserves to be this season so far.

actually i think i agree with you.

i'd rather spurs spend a moderate amount on a 8-12 goals a year proven European striker than 25 million on a hopeful brazilian

Nice to see 'Arry practicing what he preaches, re: not wanting to spend the owners' money and all that. Pompey fans are chuckling knowingly to themselves right about now.

DONE DEAL: Jermaine Jenas joins QPR on an 18-month-deal from Spurs. And he cannot get into the building. Oh dear.

      SPURS LATEST
From South American football writer Tim Vickery: "Internacional director of football Marcelo Medeiros has told Globo Esporte that Leandro Damiao will not be joining Tottenham today. ""The numbers were below our expectations," he said, adding that the Tottenham bid was susbstantially lower than the £20million reported in the English media.
pissing me off. lets stop chasing him already

We need a striker now!! Defoe isn't doing it and Ade looks uninterested.

Well our business is probably completed. Looks like we are going to have to deal with what we have. Sucks as we needed a striker and I find it hilarious that QPR is the second highest spending club and I can't wait till they go down and bankrupt as Harry can't not spend someone else's money.

They will stay up, I can guarantee it. Harry has already done wonders with them. They went from leaking goals to stopping some of the best teams in England from scoring. With his new attacking options I have no doubt they will stay up.

I'm hoping we can make something happen in the last half hour here to really do some damage in going up and up. Simon Jordan is the biggest ******** face I have ever had the displeasure of hearing in my life. He is a rotten human being.

Getting Jenas off the books is almost as good as a striker.

Our offices have been too busy shipping guys out on loans - Gomes, Jenas, Mason, Dawkins, Pritchard... - to actually sign anyone.

sound a lot like last years January transfer window - got rid of pav, loaned several others out, brought in nelsen and saha as space fillers (both of who were gone in the summer)

lots of talk about filling needs but in the end its about who got shipped out

Harry just had to get his mug on TV. haha. So wait we gave QPR Townsend? What the ********!? Why would we loan him out? I rate him very highly and we should've kept him as cover.
