Obviously taking this game by game, but IF we make it to the CL Quarters and FA Semis...that period in April is looking mighty rough.

Importance for me, mixed with realism - League > FA > CL.

I'd move CL past the FA cup, but I just don't see our current squad in its form beating the teams necessary to win that trophy. League I want back bad..

I would hope that the dippers will give them a good game on Saturday with Kompany out and the Toures away.

Not too many matches where I see them dropping points. I know it must happen but I'm not enthusiastic about it. I think our clash with them could end up pivotal.

Even without Yaya, without Kompany I dont see Liverpool getting anything out of that game.

Reminds me of the birthday problem in reverse, kind of.

In that, whilst each individual is unlikely to share a birthday with the next one, the group as whole becomes more and more likely to share a birthday between them. Ultimately the probability of two of them sharing one is more than 0.50 with what I guess most people would think a surprisingly small number when they first hear about that.

With City, they're going to be the favourites for the majority of the matches on an indivual game-by-game basis, but the chances of them winning them all (even barring the derby) would soon add up to be rather unlikely. We wouldn't be talking winning the lottery kind of odds but still much more unlikely than likely. I'd imagine they're certainly odds against winning even the next three on the spin with the bookies at least (if you take that for anything), and so would we be.

Wondering why the frack we play Everton on the Sunday and then away to Real on Wednesday? it would've been better to play Everton on Saturday.

    Question time!

    Father Ted

    1. Can you edit your opening post or do you still need a mod to do it to update the table and fixtures? I'm not sure what the state of play is since Big Soccer changed its forum software.

    2. What website did you get that league table from so I can screen grab the latest?

    3. (Also for everyone else) Do you even want us to update the opening post or is it better to make a seperate post each time the table/fixtures change?

    Cheers

Second that emotion. makes for easier conversation I think.

Op is cool too I suppose but if I could have it updated only one place then I would rather it be mid thread.

Both (just copy/paste). Changing the first post helps in case there's a lot of discussion after the last update and then adding a separate post helps promote this discussion.

I could go either way. Last year we updated the OP probably every week. But I was looking at it last week and it only showed the final week's schedule so we now can't see what came before. Other years we've left the OP and added a new post after each week.

I'd like to add the updated table/schedule after each week (possibly including result of the previous games e.g. the 2-1 win this week+City's 0-0).

    What do ye all think?
