The reason he was effective for the most part in the Olympics was because he was playing some sort of sweeper role, which prevented him from pushing up too much. Why Chepo doesn't make him do that is another story though.

Are people turning against Ayala now? A year ago he was the hipster pick over everybody and now it looks like he's el Hobbit 2 in BSMX. As for the game, Aguilar has stunk and so has Salcido. The rest of the team is alright although offensively we need to improve and not just pass around and be nifty but useless.
on a side note, i'm pretty satisfied with ESPN's telecast so far. if i can't watch it on Azteca or Televisa, i'd much rather watch on ESPN than piece of shit Mierdavision.

The start of the game was delayed because the Danish team was late to the stadium. I am watching on TV Azteca and they showed Denmark warming up well after Mexico had gone back to the locker room.

We could have a couple of goals if he had strikers that can turn and shoot instead of lay off. Denmark is making the back line sweat, which is a great way to see who can and can't hack it. It's surprising because I thought they were going use the Jostein Flo strategy on us.
