to be fair, it looks like they're playing in a hurricane.

Meh. It just looks like they're taking it easy. Even Gaven and Higuain have been making silly passes.

Tuned in just in time to see Tchani in mid season form passing the ball to...a large green space with no one near it...why did we bring him back again?????

Finley with acres of space on the right but puts in a weak cross. Keeper scoops it up.

Bad turnover by Viana. Passed it right to a Fire player. Ends up being an off-target shot by Lindpere.

A bit of a scramble in front of the Fire goal, but the keeper gathers.

Rolfe nearly gets through on goal, but Wahl blocks. Ball falls to Segares, who rips one, but Lampson saves.

Not bad so far. Our backline has looked solid, sans a few hiccups by Viana.

Ethan has an A, Ryan has an E... I'm guessing this was Ryan (may have been an author typo)?

Saw a tweet suggesting we might be going 3-man backline with Viana at DM... does that seem to be the case?

I know, but I know most people get them confused, so I figured I would ask for clarification. We need nicknames for these guys, and fast.

Backline looks fine, Wahl and Marshall could actually make a good CB partnership. Viana not on the same page a few times but that's not a shock with what little times he's had with the team. Lampson did well when tested. The midfield/Higuain seemed to have no defined roles, they were all over the place. If this were a real game Finlay would have been called off like seven times.

The Crew really put a lot of high pressure on the Fire which was nice to see. They forced a lot of turnovers and were winning the ball back high up the field in many cases.

Meram had a lot of chances to put in some crosses and nothing really came of that.

The goal was nice heads up play from Higuain to take a quick free kick from 35 yards out or so and play Eddie in behind. Eddie got there first and the keeper cleaned him out.

Williams looks ok at right back. I know we'd all like to see him in the middle, but he got forward, covered a lot of ground and made a couple of nice full field switches. Marshall still got pulled out wide to cover for him which was a problem all year in 2012 with Miranda.

I didn't see the same with Wahl and Viana on the other side.

Higuain looks fit and interested, faster than I remember him from last year. Finley was offside a ton. Not sure from the angles of the camera and the commentary if he was just playing it very close and getting caught of if he was way off and being dumb. The commentator said he was being a nuisance and allowing Higuain to roam freely. I agree with that. A lot of the good high pressure started with him and Gaven.

Not really. He's on the left, but he's been pushing forward often.

Haha good call. Now we just need one (or both) to something memorable (preferably good-memorable).
