No, he's a USMNT fan and his comments are just about the awful Canada friendly he's watching. *RIMSHOT* But seriously-- that doesn't look good. At least LaBrocca had a good game-- we may need him to fill in for several weeks.
Looked like an ankle when he came off the pitch Well Rapids lose, US looks like crap and Rivero is injured ... not a good day of soccer
ouch that's going to hurt him the rest of his career and his right footed. wallace and any other injury prone player needs to be cut.... seriously. i'm not a fan of rivero and i feel we could get a way better number 10 thats better suited to the mls and not oscars philosophy. question who fills riveros boots hill?
Ugh. I'm guessing it ends up being longer...10 weeks or more. They stated recovery time for injuries always tends to be low-balled. Yeah but...OP is the coach and getting some one instead of Rivero that's "way better" and not playing OP's philosophy... To answer your practical question, I would say Hill is not the likely replacement since his role has been more forward and striker of late, plus Hill can't hold the ball like Rivero. I'd have to say perhaps LaBrocca as stated previously. We don't have a real good replacement for him right now but more that one option that "will do" for the time being.
It's a bummer he got injured, I believe he will bounce back, so I will resist looking for his replacement.
yeah but that foot will re-break VERY easy. it will never be the same. again. his going to walk with a limp forever.
I dont get the vapors that easily. He will miss games at the beginning of the season and then continue with his progression.
Wayne Rooney broke his foot a few years ago. He's doing alright for himself these days. You can't make a call like that until you know the exact injury. If it is the dreaded metatarsal, then it is a long recovery, but guys do come back from them. Jamie Smith could also get a chance to replace him. I think Hill would get a chance too because Pareja is on record as saying he thinks Hill's best position is attacking mid. The thought of seeing a midfield of Thomas, Powers, and LaBrocca is pretty intriguing. Put Hill, Serna, or Smith (maybe Harbottle) on the wings and let them create from there.
So now along with playing for the Rapids reserves and getting a coaching license you also got your M.D.?
