that's highly debatable. because he harries and harrasses so much, tevez's skill level is sometimes downplayed. mario will never be the passer that tevez is and although he has the potential to perhaps put together 23+7 seasons for a top contender in a top league, i'd like to see it first before giving him credit for it. i think the choice was moreso between him and zdeko and they felt that zdeko would be more amenable to be a super sub.
granted, just wanted to illustrate that there is young, exciting talent at all positions right now. see, arsène, competing for trophies and building for the future are not mutually exclusive propositions.
And oh Johno, intent is good enough to make a striker try to avoid a tackle and miss the opportunity to score/progress, so the intent is not to play the ball it is a foul for me.
Question. Can Mario play in the CL for Milan because Citeh were eliminated? I thought that was one of the loopholes.
Balotelli is the type of player who will have 1 to 1 and half good seasons where he does what you're saying and then wander all over Europe earning top coin based on that. And it's debateable whether he can reach that level anyway.
Actually, the whole point of the cup-tie rule is to prevent "big" teams from getting talent from lower level teams that have been eliminated in early stages. So Balotelli can't play in CL for Milan this season.
Not if the intent id's to impede rather than injure. If a defender sticks his leg out but makes no contact near midfield and the attacker dives the ref will wave play on most times.
Jozy Altidore is a legend. Got racist chants all game from Den Bosch fans, ref nearly stopped the game until Altidore told him to play on. Went on to score a penalty and assisted 2 goals.
Yeah... Not a big fan of being the bigger man all the time. Will this prevent the very same fans from abusing another black player? Not at all, "hey, they can play through it and its all on the pitch amirite?!" The story right now is Jozy's self control, not the racist mob. We need more public shaming, more players storming off the court like kp boateng, more articles, more matches with empty stadia, more fines, more articles, more point deductions, more bans.
Samba may be on the way to QPR, don't see why else they would send Anton Ferdinand on loan to Turkey. Someone must be coming in.
so did West Ham and Newcastle in recent seasons --- aside from that i read Arshavin is on £80k a week. not bad for someone totally frozen out of the team. Malouda would be on similar i imagine. but such a waste in both cases
they'll just write anything, won't they? QPR determined to keep hold of keeper Cesar as United join list of suitors
