Motivos personales.... Maybe Vela is getting married and you guys are already crucifying him. Shm. Is gay marriage legal in Spain?
Of course he is needed, so he can get familiar with the system and build chemistry with the players, plus the national game is a different pace. Shoot if we qualify without him why are we going to include him on the squad if he wasn't even part of the process and then include 1 month before the world cup, I just dont think he will integrate correctly after missing how many years of international football?
It doesn't matter, shoot if you love mexico like he say's, you play no matter what because its from the heart.
My argument has always been the same and now it's confirmed. Vela es un idiota que no sabe hacer la cosas. Last summer they announce Chicharito is not going to play the olympic games. They also announce at the same time, he will not play the Olympics AND the June games. Then a bunch of months later Chepo said he wasn't called and you go with those arguments eventhough when Chepo said he wasn't in the level, you totally dismissed it (rightfully so). To me it's mega clear he turned those games down as he is snubbing the national team. Chepo isn't and idiot and did more clean up that Vela just destroyed now. If he had played those games instead of going to Cancun to eat tacos, he would have saved a lot of problems even today. Those 2 easy simple games would have saved him a lot of trouble, but he's and idiot. Those games were also official games. Ahora Vela se echo la gente en contra. The problem isn't the NT (he will get capped if he keeps it up), is the fact that people feel that he snubbing the country and they won't forget. But he's an idiot. He clearly snubs the NT, he says stupid comments or remains quiet about things and he just handles it the worst way possible.
That should read "Ahora Vela se echo la prensa en contra." Which is what happens all the time. People don't even care. They really don't and they shouldn't. Vela isn't some sort of Godsend that is somehow gonna make us WC winners, whoever believes that deserves to be disappointed. That being said, we could use him, and we will. In the future they're gonna call him up again, and people will shut the fuk up because he's gonna help the NT... that is what they/we care about after all, the NT. Not some player named Vela.
Ah, so he's getting versed in the art of coachspeak too! How to say nothing with as many words as possible!
I think you're way way off. If anything the press is more lenient. I already said that people in Mexico don't see the olympics as different from any big competition. They don't get why he missed it. People also don't take lightly to a clear snub like this. The guy isn't very popular in Mexico at all because of this all. People in Mexico don't take lightly to turning your back on them and being a diva like they perceive Vela to be doing so. At all.
It was the typical Mexican soccer player "one day I will tell the truth!" Which, of course is followed by crickets. I hace always been a fan of Vela's, but if Chepo extended an invitation and he said no, then it is all on him. All I know is that there are a multitude of carpenters in the Mexican press getting their crosses ready. This is what they live for. I hope Hector Huerta takes his blood pressure medicine before Picante tonight.
I've never liked him and I don't care about him if he won't play for Mexico. Luckily, their are other players who will get a chance.
I don't think the witch hunt is appropriate either. Maybe he just doesn't see any value for his career in playing with the national team as opposed to his club, and that's a respectable opinion. I just hope he doesn't come begging later next year when the World Cup is right around the corner.
Oh well. It's a sports team, not a draft. He can say no if he wants to. That's his decision. He doesn't make or break the team. We had a great Olympic tournament without him, I'm sure we can have great senior tournaments without him.
I will not watch a Real Sociedad game from now on. Have been watching all his games and rooting for him. Fck him. Chepo should never call him up again. What a twat. I can understand if it was a situation where he could still be eligible for another country but his Spanish accent is not enough for the Spanish National Team.
Thanks for posting that John... so in a nutshell... it is pretty clear that he doesn't want to play either for Chepo, the FMF leadership OR he has beef with a PLAYER (kind of like the Temo vs. Pardo fallout going into 2006)... maybe one of the indiscutibles threw him under the bus during the whole partying episode. Or he is just the typical Gen Y, EMO... if you listen to the rest of his conference speaking only about Sociedad he mention stability, happiness & being liked by the people etc., He might just be mentally tough enough to deal with Mexico's bi-polar fanbase & press... which if we think about it mental toughness, winning conviction seems to be his weakness all along (yeah I am looking at you Mr. smile when you missed a sitter).
I'm not spazzing, I've been rooting for him and giving him a chance for this whole saga. They aren't dodging him anymore and clearly wanted him for the national team but now this? I'm sorry but que se vaya a la verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. No one is bigger than the country, we accomplished a lot without him and will continue to do so. In the end he hurts himself because he misses out on representing his country.
meh Do you remember how much shit Gio and Vela got in 2008 when Sven handed them starting positions during the early rounds of Qualifiers at the age of 19? The press and a section of the fan base has always had a grudge against Vela. It's only intensifying now due to his decisions.
well i hope he can solve whatever this personal issues are. the nt is not in a position to ignore a player like him
