Early Prediction (Way Too early). Javier scores in the 22nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. In the 43 minute, Wingert is given a straight red on a clean tackle on Wondo. In the 54 minute Schuler is given a straight red on a take down Lenhart. Replay shows no contact, and Lenhart dove. Wondo Scores less than a minute later, to draw even 1-1. What looks to be a draw is given 9 minutes of stoppage time. Two more goals are added by SJ in the 9 minutes of stoppage time, and SJ wins 3-1.

Oh, come on. Let's be a bit less sanguine about the game. Here's a better game predicition:

Javier scores in the 22nd minute off a curling corner. Three minutes later, he is taken down hard in the box and Sabo converts the PK to give RSL a 2-0 lead. Lenhart mouths off too much to the referee and is given a red card and sent to the locker room. In the second half, Wondo is "taken down" in the box by Schuler, but the referee gives him a yellow card for simulation. Ten minutes later, Wondo again tries to get Schuler ejected from the game by taking another dive and the referee gives him his second yellow card for simultion and sent to the locker room. Three minutes later, Saco scores his second goal of the game, giving RSL a 3-0 lead. With 5 minutes of stoppage time, Sabo scores his third goal of the game and RSL wins 4-0. The next day, Lenhart is suspended for 10 games for shoving the referee after the end of the game and Wondo is given a 1-game suspension for simulation.

Lenhart finally comes back from his suspension and in his first game back, is suspended for the rest of the season when he tries to go "cleats-up" on an opposing player but instead hits the lineman. San Hose-Me is fined $25,000 for this display of stupidity and at the end of the season, San Hose-Me terminate Lenhart's contract. Lenhart is last see cleaning out his locker.

Wondo comes back from his 1-game suspension, but due to the fact that he is a known diver, he picks up numerous yellow cards during the rest of the season for simulation and only scores 3 goals for San Hose-Me all season. San Hose-Me finish with the worst record in the MLS and Wondo is traded to the Charleston Battery for future considerations.

Here's scary: RSL opens its season with 3 strikers because some type of transfer window has yet to open leaving RSL unable to make any true impact signings during a entire off-season. Scarier yet! rumors are starting to fly that Jorge Campos is the odds on favorite as the New second option at forward.

    Jorge Campos?

I know you hate Saborio, but Campos is 46 years old, man. That's just ridiculous.

You forgot the part with "karma" being the reason for all of RSL misfortune.

Two weeks from tomorrow! It will be interesting to see who is on the field that night. RSL might not be full strength for a month or two. Hopefully some young guys and newcomers can step up. I'd guess we'll see Findley and Sabo up top. As for the rest, it could be any number of guys for the other nine spots. Will Rimando be good to go?

Anyone going? Any supporters groups going that you've heard of? I may have to be in the area Mon-Wed - if so I'll go early to make the game.

RCB will have about 10-15 people there. We're mostly staying at a hotel just up the road from Buck Shaw so that nobody has to drive anywhere. If you want to do some tailgating before the match PM me your number and I'll let you know where the beer is.

The above goes for any RSL fan making it out there BTW.

Nothing to lose - any points really, with injuries, new players, etc, will be a bonus. I'm not conceding but my expectations are well...managed.

We're totally going to lose. San Jose has had almost no turnover.

It game week! No more offseason. Vegas, like I said, has Red cards Over/Under on RSL vs SJ at 1. Probably won't go 2 with Olave not on the team this year.

We didn't have much turnover the last couple years either. Doesn't mean they'll still be at the same level. They rode an incredible amount of luck with late game heroics that typically doesn't last.
