October 4, 2007. Things happen, players blow off some steam and move forward. I'm confident that Dempsey and Bradley have a strong bond and that there's no lingering animosity.
I hope Benny was careful because Kyle was a state wrestling champion in Maryland as a Freshman in High School.
Lichaj isnt that old and experienced to be dscounted yet. This is a big year for him because he has not had all that much opportunity to show his total skill set. He actually has pretty good skill in showing up in front of goal at the right time and recently we have seen some offensive flashes out of him. Villa isnt a team of teamplayers, which is why they are relegation candidates. I see Lichaj try to do stuff that just gets left in the bin because it takes two to tango. There might not be too much difference between Zusi and Lichaj as mid/fwd player. I rate Zusi as a starter for us at right fwd but remember: We havent seen Zusi play in a top Euro league in which case our judgment mite be harsher.
Why wouldn't US Soccer put a little ground-level video of training (e.g., the intra-squad scrimmage) out? Too much trouble? Don't think anyone cares? Want to hide training from prying eyes? None of these seem like sufficient reasons to me, so what am I missing?
So the closed door friendly against Tijuana is tomorrow. Anybody that is willing to conduct espionage for the greater good of BS will be rewarded. I am a little surprised that the squad hasn't seen any attrition yet due to transfers. Until there is some attrition, I see only Gonzalez, Beckerman, Zusi and E. Johnson as locks to start against Canada.
Beitashour apparently is out of camp. He had offseason surgery and apparently is experiencing soreness.
That's unfortunate. Hope it's nothing serious. Probably much too late but Myers would be a nice addition to camp.
Yallop specifically said it wasnt a re-aggrevation and his tone wasnt terriby concerned, just sounds like he wasnt quite healed enough to be able to do the two-a-days for 3 straight weeks.
crapplejuice wanted to see him, but if your not healthy your not healthy. all things considered given our last two camps, the injury situation hasnt been too terrible there
Ives offers his predicted lineup, then states his own preferences ... http://www.soccerbyives.net/2013/01/usmnt-daily-update-who-should-the-usmnt-start-vs-canada.html
Link for those curious: http://www.insidebayarea.com/breaki...e-earthquakes-open-camp-aiming-recapture-2012 Beitashour is a RB.
Beltran isn't a left back either, so I'm going to go with typo. I'm pretty sure Ives suggested lineup is the same one I put up a few pages back. He'll be hearing from my lawyers.
I wonder is we'll get a play by play of the scrimmage from someone on twitter....I think I remember that happening the last time we had a scrimmage at one of these camps.

Has to be disappointing for him. You get a chance to impress the NT coaching staff and then suffer a setback. Hard to see him getting another chance until the Gold Cup.
