David Luiz is a sure call up.
I would prefer him in the DM position (as he is playing at Chelsea) than at CB.
But I also can't wait for Scolari's first call up because we will see what is in his mind.

David Luiz and Dede starters until Thiago comes back, dont know what other two should be called to be on the bench. But would love to see Rohdolfo and Rever called up and see how they do with Selecao.

And David Luiz is a CB not a defensive midfielder, besides brasil is deep at DM and a little thinner at CB. Chelsea is making a mistake using him at midfield but they probably have no other options while brasil do have them.

Well I bet that whoever he calls, there will be complaints... But that's like saying that the sun will rise tomorrow. There will be complaints, no matter the coach or players chosen... So I bet his first controversial call will be Ronaldinho. He will be on his first list, I believe.

I'm also willing to bet that David Luiz will be the new Edmilson for Felipão... And I'd actually find interesting if he tried the 3-5-2 again, or maybe a 3-4-3 ( With Marcelo and Daniel Alves free to support, David Luiz being the third CB while defending, and a DMF when we are attacking, 2 CMFs able to mark and pass like Hernanes and Paulinho, front 3 of Neymar, Fred and Lucas).

England twice, France, Germany, Mexico, Italy twice, Japan and probably Spain and Uruguay at confederation cup. 2013 is turning into a great year for selecao.

Why does it seem I'm the only one that gives any love to my boy Hulk?

Cuz you're the only Hulk sympathist in this forum.. Left for the bright lights of the.. wait for it... Russian League.. and how well has that gone for him?

iirc he's made headlines for reporting his missing sister more-so than his skill on the field.

Moving to the Russian League was the worst decision he could've ever make for his career. Now he is being boycotted by his teammates, is not wanted by their racist supporters... He is paying for the mistake he made, unfortunately.

Hard to argue against that. Hopefully he continues to get called up though and doesnt lose his form.

i don't really think it was a mistake -- just a lateral move and the fact is that he was pretty much priced out by Porto -- no club could afford him outside of a Russian one -- or PSG, and Ligue 1 would also have been a lateral move. he'll probably get sold for a loss and end up somewhere else. but i still think he never really quite had the all-around game to really be a decisive player even in a better league. i mean, he's never even been very good for us and mano played him in his natural position.

Hahaha, for sure there are always complaints no matter what players are called. Remember, Brasil has 200 Million coaches. But do you really think Felipao will call R10? (now his new number at Galo).
I am also betting on a 3-5-2 with David Luiz as an attacking DM with the one taking the free kicks.

I gotz ya back, Dude. I don't mind Hulk either. I think he suffers from not coming through the hype machine and as a previous poster says he was priced out of the Prem, Spain, Italy or Germany. Zenit is a top side but the league is just off the radar and with all the money he's earning he'll need to buy new nuts cos it's cold out there - so cold that even if you were watching a game on tv in equatorial Africa you'd still need a hat, coat and gloves. Personally I thought he did ok under the previous manager though it would've been interesting to see him play striker. If Moura steps up a notch he and Neymar supporting an angry Hulk would be a pacy trio.

be better than Thiago Silva and get more exposure than David Luiz.. but if Scolari does run a 3-5-2.. Dante could be an essential puzzle for depth concerns.

Did anyone actually liked Dede' performance when he actually played for the Selecao ? I actually wasn't impressed. I understand he has played well for Vasco, but that first game against Argentina did not leave a good impression on me.

In 2012, Dede began the year playing well, doing incredible matches, at its best, the it was in 2011. However, if seriously injured and spent months standing. Then, injured twice more.

The result Is that in the second half of 2012, Dede was not in the best shape of his ... bids wandering jesters finally making matches irregular, sometimes playing really well and other times it was a disaster.

Dede is an incredible defense, but he is best only in his 100% physical shape.

Let's see how he will play in 2013. Against Ajax, he played very well. If he comes back at 2011 performance, conditions have to starting lineup in 2014.

I really want Dede stays at Vasco , like him very much and really he is the only TOP in Vasco currently.

However, thinking only in its evolution, it would be better if he were pro Barcelona. There he would become a World Class. He would err less.

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like I definitely didn't see his best.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it didn't look like he has the ball handling skills and touch to play at Barcelona. Which is not to say he isn't a good defender.
