Begins? Literally every post cescfabregas has made in this thread had a demeaning tone to it. Most posts explicitly mock the lack of education and maturity level of anyone who likes Ray Hudson.

Another attempt at ending this conversation prematurely. A jejune way of holding your position in a debate.

Not true. Pointing out the fallacy in an argument is part of moving a conversation forward, this is a very respectable argument we are having here.

No sir/ma i'm not but certainly looking forward to reading you refute the assertion in my post. BTW - that post was piggybacking on Cantona's.

    Rly?

But this is perhaps my favorite...

Such a high opinion of yourself. :notworthy:

For such a "staunch advocate" of adult/respective conversations, you sure set the bar low for what qualifies as adult and respective when thinking of your own comments.

Knee-Jerk reaction to my comments. To borrow your words "less is more" is a proven technique in communication.Nothing you've highlighted here insults anyone, besides the drek ray of course. Ray hudson is rubbish, always was, always will be.

Well, I don't know what you mean with this. Nothing wrong with Ray and Phil's articulation. Phil sometimes says dumb stuff, but I have no problem understanding what he's saying or how he feels about something. And Ray articulates himself through metaphors mainly. Like the example I posted above to which you asked about his lack of articulation. So your question is undefined. Your question can be re-worded "How does this amusing articulation make up for his lack of articulation?"

If you would, forgive me. I've been known to provide information at different levels - formatting is key and i will keep that in mind.

The first half i think is self-explanatory enough but I'm basically asking you to offer the premise upon which you based your conclusion that ray hudson doesn't say dumb stuff more often than most commentators. Though a very fair argument and i'm not saying every international commentator is decent - I offered a series of questions to show the implausibility of what is an unsubstantiated claim made by you in regards to ray hudson's (phil and the rest).

In the second half - what i'm saying is though ray can amuse some with his often wrongly used metaphors (erection and insertion during a football game is technically not a metaphor but words of an unfufilled old man) he lacks imagination, quality and he his mundane say in comparison to Ross Dyer (you don't have to look very far). How does what you describe as his ability to caress etc a substitute for possessing authoritative command of the game in front of him? BTW - this has no relationship with style.

    Cheers

Ray Hudson is awesome and whoever says different is a knucklehead.

Go stick with your robotic EPL announcers.

    Of course...

Wonder why the EPL [sic] is more commercially successful than any other league outside the home country... Just thinking out loud here.. Mostly likely you'll find a Chelmsford City FC supporter than a Zaragoza fan. Just saying, no disrespect to Zaragoza or its fans.

If this is the best argument you can put forth - just stick to the name calling..You sound a lot more intelligent and mature that way.

Sometimes we tend to miss facts presented in an argument so why not point them out when the realization is made.

Evidently with its programming schedule this week, if English is your first or only language in the US - you are not a factor for success as far as bein is concerned.

Two Serie A games all weekend on the English channel (bein 1 or 2 not sure), one delayed La Liga and condensed Ligue 1 broadcast. Still think this is nitpicking? Strategically the right recipe for success?

I know, I know !!! Because of commentary. They hire right announcers, that is why they are most successful.
For the guy who often marginalizes others- brilliant thinking, Sir.

Actually YES. IMG protects their properties and slaps a surcharge on any entity that uses their own commentary feed... They want to make sure the English feed quality is not compromised...they don't produce the feeds in anything other than English but there is a level of quality control on the English feed.. So yes this quality control has helped the premier league become the most watched league in the world.

Have you watched a Capital One match with the Fatman on the mic... You really think that is superior to the IMG guys... Uh. NO!

Still they're showing pretty close to the maximum amount of live football since there isn't much going on before 16:00 CET or after 23:00 CET. So 7-hour window where there are live games in the leagues that they have rights to, meaning 3 live games is the maximum.

I tried to watch a bit of Bundesliga on GolTV this morning, but once again the audio is a second ahead of the video. This has been going on for 3-4 years on both GolTV and FOX. Makes the game unwatchable!

Just saying... it could be worse. :)

What games that beIN has the rights to are not being shown today that could air in the time periods where the handball is being played? I don't mind the Express since it's their anchor highlight show and it airs 2 hours before the FOX Soccer Report if I want to get a round up of what happened today.

In fairness to the handball apparently this is the 2013 Championships! :)
