Rockets are doing good. 8-2 last 10 and 21-14 for 3rd in SW. Shaky start today but I knew we'd pull throw.
If the NBA ever switched our Rockets to the Eastern Conference like our Dynamo, I'd be ok with that as we would make the playoffs every season as our record versus the East this year is near impecable! Last few seasons we miss the playoffs with winning records and yet teams from the East with losing records make it and play shitastic basketball once in the playoffs. It is the difficult West were we have to earn our corn. I never jump to conclusions on passing judgement on our Rockets every season before hitting the ASG n break but this year I will make an exception, Harden is playing like a madman! Our guys are a tremendous up tempo group and tops in scoring. Didn't see this progress arriving before Feb.
Our division is ********ing hectic. We have the Spurs, Mavs, Memphis, and NOLA. The Rockets, Mavs, and Spurs alone make this division competitive. If you add the fact that NOLA and Memphis rotate having decent seasons, and you have a division that usually has four contenders.
Schaub is not a championship QB and the Texans are stuck with him because of his contract. He's not bad, but the Patriots stuffed the run and dared Schaub to beat them and he couldn't do it.
The Texans seem to be content with mediocrity. When a coach goes 6-10 in his 4th season for any other team, he gets fired. When an above average QB who is 30 goes down for the season, other teams don't give him an extension. Now, they might have missed out on their 2 divisional round playoff exits in a row if they had fired Kubiak. But if the Texans were a stock, you'd be selling right now(I listen to too much Charlie Pallilo). Anyway, this is their window. They need upgrades at RT, WR, MLB, DB, K, Kick Returner, and special teams in general. They have no cap space so here's hoping the draft is outstanding.
It really boils down to the fact that one of our city's foottball teams finds a way to make it to the title game regardless of seeding or cards of wild, our other finds ways to not. There is always next year.
