Can confirm the deliciousness of Sparkle's. It was my meal for BBVA debut. However, now I'm usually with Don for the pre-game burrito.
I still need to try this pre-game burrito. But I plan on tailgating Sunday if (God willing) they pull off the W tonight.
Channel 2 had a story last night about the hottest real estate in Houston. There were 4 hot spots, the hottest the energy corridor on I-10, but one was the East End, which they said was spurred by the costruction of BBVA and the light rail in the area. The odd thing was the picture they ran with the story.... what is that stadium in the picture? It's nothing in Houston. I just hate it when tv news gets stupid.
I wonder If we will get a super Olympic swimming pool. Btw, not sure if this matter but East End (of Houston) and EADO are two different locations iirc
I actually was going to mention that in my post but thought it didn't matter since, you know, KPRC can't tell the difference between the East End in Houston and the one in London.
I can bring a baseball to a baseball game and a soccer ball to a soccer game, thus I should easily be able to bring a beer to a brewery right?
I guess it wouldnt be tailgating, as you would pay for admission but get the 'free' 'samples'. But you could also could bring in food. I thought have heard several quotes from the guys that own the place talking about "tailgating"
Gastropubs are supposed to have great taplists to accompany a good menu...ie Haymerchant or BRC or Petrol Why doesn't this place have a taplist?
It is not a requirement for a gastropub to have a great tap list. The term gastro pub applies the other way; it was coined to identify pubs that put an emphasis on serving food (early 1990s in London). Many still serve the same beer they always had. It just so happened, the ones popping up here are focused on mircorbrew and imports. That being said, has anyone been in there; do they know what the beer list looks like?
Lucky's has a good taplist but it's always so stinkin crowded. I usually chill at the Saucer for a couple hours. Food sucks but great beer on tap most of the time and the Saucer app is up to date on current taps. Moon Tower is in walking distance with great taps and food.
