Anyway, i know it's way tooooo soon.. but i was looking at Kashima's squad. They're so much talented, especially in the middle. They had the worst season of their history in 2012, buf if they replace Jorginho with someone way better and put away Sogahata, they could really make their game next year.

Toninho Cerezo is definitely not better than Jorginho... However, Kashima squad is looking amazing so far, with Davi and Atsutaka.

We were/are in a period of switching generations.
Year 2011 was like a start. Year 2012 like the peak of this change and I expect year 2013 will more or less end that. With the likes of Nozawa helping Endo and Shibasaki + Yamamura complete that change.
In attack I am a bit sad for letting Koroki go, he is a useful player, but I guess with Davi coming and Osaka being otherwise in the first plan, Koroki knew that he would always be a second choice and as Urawa are really lacking in the striker's position it does make sense, also there is the wage question and whatnot...but I dont know the details of our financial structure to be able to say anything regarding that with certainty.
I am however a bit worried about our Defense. Iwamasa will be good enough for a few seasons more I guess while Araiba I am not so sure, Nishi is ok but we would need one more which is solid enough and if possible is not a veteran of over 30 and when it comes to defenders I really have no clue what to say...
Sogahata...imo he is still a really good goalkeeper. Problem with him this year however was, that he had some games where he was a beast and others where I was thinking... omgpleasegetthisguyoffthefield.

So With Nakamura, Nozawa and Davi coming, I think the last thing we need is one good defender and naturally a good coach and we are set to cause some serious troubles this year

To be fair, Okada is Mito born and raised, and only trained in the Mito branch of Kashima's youth team. To call it a transfer would be the same as a youth player not being offered a top team spot as being released.

Is the Sakka Digest out on Amazon today? I can't find it. Saying that it's probably because my Japanese reading skills are about as good as Michel's finishing for Albirex Niigata last season.
Any link would be appreciated. Cheers

Sakka Digest is already out and some of you old-timers are going to be shocked by the cover.

In recent years the Meikan have been using the team's "young star" for the cover photo. This year they seem to have slipped into a time warp. The J1 photos are not THAT bad, with the likes of Shibasaki, Kakitani, Takagi (S-Pulse) and Endo (Bellmare) mixed in among the old-timers. But the J2 is another story altogether...

Here is a partial list of the J2 photos:
    Toshihito Hattori (39), Masayuki Okano (40), Hideaki Kitajima (35), Yasuhito Endo (33), Kazuyoshi Miura (46), Naohiro Takahara (33), Koji Yamase (31), Yuto Sato (32), Takayuki Suzuki (36), Ryuji Kawai (34), Teruaki Kurobe (34), Keijiro Ogawa (21) . . . . . wait!
How did HE get in there??? Must have been a printing error

PS: The El Golazo Meikan (pocket size) is also out tomorrow
