Manure pool.jpg We're at the "Pile" for this one. The stadium of the departed, the travelling Kop should be able to warm it up though.

OK. We weren't that convincing against Mansfield Town. Here's another opportunity to show that we can get geed up for a smaller club.

Hell yes. So freakin' pumped! Let's get these f*ckers back for their lucky bullsh*t win at Anfield. Hopefully Evans doesn't 2-foot tackle someone either, because we'll get a red for it, as often is the case.

    Reina
    Wisdom Skrtel Agger Johnson
    Henderson Lucas
    Suarez Gerrard Sterling
    Sturridge
Jones, Coates, Carragher, Allen, Shelvey, Downing, Suso
Suarez is pretty well the poor man's Messi (well, the millionaire's Messi if only billionaires can have Messi) so he can play behind the striker and wander all over the pitch as he pleases without any protest, that's just his base position. Sturrdige is best as a CF so having him up the middle will be important, and he's capable of interchanging with Suarez up front anyways. I'd say while attacking the formation will look more like:
    Reina
    Wisdom Skrtel Agger Johnson
    Lucas
    Henderson Gerrard Sterling
    Suarez Sturridge
Borini won't start training again until Friday, so I doubt he'll be ready, but this may be Suso's last appearance on the bench for awhile, as Fabio will be back very shortly.

I like this last formation. That's how I played my kids team. Good man in the hole. Good stopper and useful wing halves.

personally i think sturridge leading the line would be brilliant. Bit stronger and a better passer than suarez, and most of the goals suarez has scored this season have come from him moving inside from wide. It's a game where we need a bit of muscle but i would still like to see allen, the midfield just never seems right without him for some reason, he's vital for keeping the flow in my opinion, would like to see a goal from him just to boost his confidence. I think assaidi would be good to come on late if fit and if we are level or down just to cause some trouble out wide.

    Reina
    Johnson, Skrtel, Aggs, Downing
    Allen, Gerrard
    Suarez, Hendo, sterling
    Sturridge

I think if we go in with confidence and the referee doesn't decide to be a complete twat we should get 3 points.

mhm, the only thing is we aren't yet good enough to play a straight 4-1-3-2. The 3 attacking mids all need to be top, 2-way players for it to work as the base formation, when in reality the ones I highlighted consist of 2 youngsters who are years away from their best along with Gerrard, who isn't what he used to be. It's got to be based around either the first formation, the 4-2-3-1, then in attack it's on Henderson to shape the 4-1-3-2

A comfortable 1-0 win where our midfield bosses everything. A winner by Downing, around the 85th minute and no cards from our side. They normally get us on our patch around the last 15 mins or so its time we do it to them.

Danny and Luis will be moving around quite a bit. Hopefully Raheem does the same.

2-1 to the good. RvP to score early, Sturridge to equalize and the Captain with a fergie time winner.

In. A win will go a long way to curing my rg3 despair. Henderson needs to start. I think Johnson's and his performance will be the key for us.

You've got a great QB, but your coach is an ignorant jackass. The whole year he's been treating the kid like a cheap toy he got for Christmas. Be lucky if his knee isn't ruined by year 3.

It's funny how many different lineups/formations people are predicting here. Just goes to show how dynamic a player Sturridge is, and more importantly how many options and how unpredictable BR can now be with his lineup. We haven't really had this degree of unpredictability with our lineup and formation since the 08-09 team, actually.
