Found this updated photo of Coleman Highline with Quakes stadium. It doesn't look like photos we have seen with suites but at least it's something new. Pic to large to attach: http://development.hunterproperties.com/projects/coleman-highline/
Yeah - I was about to say that was an old rendering, but you're right, it's a new one with the stadium in it. Doesn't look like the stadium renderings we've seen so far, so may be a generalization to have for the bigger picture.
This doesn't look anything like the chart they've been using to sell tickets. The field is practically square, for starters. But still, a worthwhile tidbit to keep us going for the next two months.
It's just a rendering. If you look up and over across El Camino, Buck Shaw has been reduced to a grassy field. Still, it is neat to get an idea of what the place will resemble when everything gets built out.
Yes, and I'm wondering what the redish hue near the three small buildings, north of the stadium, is supposed to represent. The color is similar to the crowd so I'm thinking that is supposed to be people, but maybe it is just blooming trees. Also a lot of those trees seem to look like palms. I hope Mark can handle it. And another thing... Why are the luxury boxes all empty in that game?
Blooming trees. And the detailed list of flora submitted for the planned development permit did not have any palms.
Hunter/Storm are Wolff's developer buddies and they have always been behind the development of the non-stadium portion of the airport west property. One of them, I think it was Ed Storm? actually came to the council meeting that dealt with the stadium PD permit. The flora list I mentioned was part of the stadium PD permit and therefore only had to do with the plantings on the stadium site, not the rest of airport west.
If this rendering is accurate, I worry about the amount of time it might take to get to the parking lot and to get back to Coleman. Pedestrians have to cross streets and it looks like some potential traffic jams there.
There is just one street between the parking garages and the stadium, and it currently does not exist... The zoomable pic shows some interesting and alarming stuff... Covered structures for gourmet food trucks. Zero detail for lower luxury suites Where's the training center? Lots of palms around the stadium... Looks like Indian Date Palms (like the Tommy Bahama logo)...
Thanks . I'll rephrase it.... Does anyone else know if the finished product (behind the goal) will end up looking like? I'm trying to find the pic of the SJSU Spartan photo where they are trying to make the new behind end zone and grandstand pressbox photo but I can't find it....
If you'd read back a few posts, the conclusion is this is a very generic rendering to show what the complex will look like. The stadium is a generic design and not final nor more detailed than the renderings we have seen already. No one knows what the end will look like except for the people designing it.
Ok I will but I'm Still trying to find the pic of the SJSU Spartan photo where they are trying to make the new behind end zone and grandstand pressbox photo but I can't find it.... If someone has it please post or PM me. Thanks!
Does it seem like it's about time to connect this area, and hopefully the airport, with a tunnel ( or ?) to the SC train station and El Camino? A stadium's worth of traffic + whatever else is going on in that new development looks like it could use more ways in/out than just a few little access roads out to Coleman.
