Steubenville, OH. I know it's the home of Franciscan U., but the big story is the rape story/video involving members of their former state championship high school football team. Charges have been filed against two former football players. Hacktivist group Anonymous has gotten involved. There are allegations of corruption being thrown around. Be careful about rushing to judgment, but this doesn't sound good and may well snowball.
I think Ohioans would give up the Bengals & Browns before they'd ditch a successful HS program. Lea Thompson was pretty hot in that era...but she was no Phoebe Cates
The Anonymous site stanger linked to includes all sorts of accusations against the police and prosecutors.
In one of those links it mentions that one of the hacker groups got in to his email and found some provocative photos. It's not sure if they are/were students but wtf?
My HS played Big Red my senior year at Steubenville. It's pretty scary when there are 50 year old men wearing HS letter jackets to the games. That and their scoreboard was nicer than some colleges. It had a big red horse that would breathe fire when they scored. Straight out of Friday Night Lights.
I think that was either an assistant or the guy that runs the website, not the head coach. Your point stands though.
The head coach testified on behalf of the accused rapists. He apparently eats breakfast with the sheriff. The coach apparently threatened a New York Times reporter investigating the case.
I've no idea what to make of this. Use caution. http://localleaks.blogs.ru/2013/01/01/steubenvillefiles/
Actually, I think Stanger already posted that. But I'm not sure, since I generally don't click on websites from ".ru" unless people assure me it's safe.
From Ohio State's Facebook page; "Michael Nodianos is no longer a student at The Ohio State University." He is the one in the video saying things like "She was more raped than the hooker with the Duke Lacrosse team"
Here is some more info from a more credible source, and I do say that loosely. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...lits-town-between-big-red-and-guy-fawkes.html
I noticed this a couple of days ago... http://steubenvillefacts.squarespace.com/?page=1 Reasonable, but I found this to be problematic: Depending on the comment, it could be construed at harassement. And that, I believe, can be considered criminal, specifically when there there laws/regulations (school) about bullying.
