Klinsmann says Donovan has not made any decisions and that is not why he is in the camp and will not be at the Honduras game.
6-7-8 guys out of this group could got called up for WCQ.

Besler, Gonzalez, Parke, DeLaGarza - good callups

Beitashour, Beltran, Lade, Morales, Morrow - none of these players will come near full US in the immediate future, but who knows maybe one will get hot in 2013.

Beckerman, Diskerud, Evans, Feilhaber - any group that includes Feilhaber is a good list, it's obvious to me that Klinsmann will give Beckerman the armband unless Jones or Edu are late arrivals.

Bedoya, Davis, Gatt, Zusi - I'm very happy to see Brad Davis. Good group.

Agudelo, Bruin, Buddle, Johnson, Wondolowski - I'm very surprised that Alan Gordon isn't on the list and that Buddle made it.

Any reason this shouldn't be merged with the other thread?

I agree. I was trying not to sound too homerish, but since you have now given me license:thumbsup: . I believe Hall is a better keeper than Hamid and Johnson. Davis is long overdue. Bruin had a great breakout season last year and is still relatively young.

Would have liked to have saw Nick Deleon, Amobi Okogu, CJ Sapong and Chance Myers. Pretty ok with the rest of it but don't understand calling in guys Jeff Parke, AJ DeLaGarza and Brad Evans, wasted roster spots on players that will never be good enough for international soccer.

Lets see if JJ (depends on Jan 14th appeal) and Mo (depends on transfer/loan options) gets added to the Roster!

I have no idea why people seem to think Donovan isn't serious about this thing he's going through.

"Nah, he's just messing around, He's going to Everton this January!"

So happy Benny was called in - he really can make our team more dangerous against top teams.

Also ecstatic about Brad Davis call-up - he is such a clutch player.

Where is Conor O'Brien? Maybe courting continental euro teams?

Also think Kenny Cooper deserved a shot over Buddle.

    Other snubs:
-Chris Rolfe - he can provide width.
-Freddy Adu - he had a great Gold Cup in 2011 - he should be in the mix.
-George John, Jay DeMerit, Nat Borchers and Chad Marshall at CB - the old and wise. All better than Jeff Parke at CB.

    Shouldn't have been called:
-Josh Gatt - he's still too young, playing in a low-quality league. He might be the next Robbie Rogers - and that's not a good thing.

They said Gordon is still recovering from injury.

Donovan left off and will not be on hex game 1 roster per JK, "he is on break"

Time to move on from Donovan. Enough of this Waiting for Godot nonsense.

I want Johnson far away from the national team until he becomes more consistent. Hamid had a very good year for DC. But between the 3, if iI had a game that mattered, I would take Hall.

Actually would rather have seen Kennedy or Gruenebaum over Johnson.

Why? He plays in the same league as Mix and he's a regular starter for the back to back Norwegian champions.

The best thing about Landon potentially getting the Claudio Reyna "I play qualifiers when I feel up to it" treatment is at least Landon's actually earned it.

That said, we always had to find a way to move off from him eventually. You could see this coming since June 2011.

I think Kennedy should definitely be in it. I'd probably have 1.Kennedy, 2.Hall, 3. Hamid
Gruenebaum filled in nicely when Hesmer went down, but Hamid is still really young and could use that experience.

There is lots of "fillers" in this roster (players that are not playing well and don't have a chance to break in to the final roster) DeLaGarza? Feilhaber? Buddle? These three didn't have a good season yet we see them here.

I also would of liked to see him given shot as 4th GK for cupcake, guess they only wanted the 3

Can't get too upset over this roster. I mean, maybe 6 might make the regular roster, and of that, maybe only Zusi, Gonzalez and Wondo might actually play. But can't wait to get started!

Finally Brad Davis gets his due. Also love Morrow, Besler, Gatt, Gonzo, Mixx, & Buddle call-ups. Would have liked to see DeLeon and Myers called in. Cant understand the Delagarza choice as hes garbage at CB and FB at intl level

Gruenebaum did more then fill in nicely, he was outstanding for Columbus. Huge reason they were within sniffing distance of the playoffs.
