Just got back from the game won by the soul 11-0 in a rare indoor shutout.Syracuse had chance after chance but couldn't buy a goal despite sloppy giveaways by the soul in their defensive third. Attendance was about what it was last game, better than the time I counted 473 fans seated.
Awesome game by Richey!! The defense looked good as well. Chile was great tonight. He had a couple of sweet set ups to Stewart and Munoz. There was about 1,000 to 1,200 in attendance. The team has now won 3 straight at home. Pablo made his first appearance for the Soul. He is something the team needed, he is good at controlling the ball and slowing the game down. Time to beat the Blast again next Friday. Richey will be player of the week.
Great game by Richey, and I agree that the Silver Knights had a lot of chances. Their finishing was pretty poor.
Jeff Richey had an excellent game, but the MISL website credits him with 45 saves. He made a lot of saves, but I didn't think he made that many. It seems like he was credited with a save every time he touched the ball.
I think the same person who calculated 2,341 people at the Wave-Soul game that I attended last month may have calculated Richey's save total last night. Not to take anything away from Richey; he played great.
Yes, both did. The Rampage website does not show either one on the team roster and the "transactions" section of the PASL website states that both were traded to the MISL.
We need those guys to help the young Rampage players on defense, otherwise it may be a long night for Ante.
They aren't coming back. The PASL website under "Transactions" says they were traded to the MISL. The Rampage did, however, acquire Elvir Kafedzic from Illinois and he has played a couple of games for Rockford already. I agree that it may be a long night for Ante. Hopefully not though.
Don't answer this if you'd rather not, but do you think the Sidekicks were the best team at the Sears Centre last night?
They have to play tough defense, keep it close, give Semir the ball and maybe we have a chance. I may need a bucket of beer for this game.!!!
The Sears Centre is a pretty sterile atmosphere when it's 10% full. I had more fun seeing Riot games at the Odeum than Soul games at the Sears Centre. A crowd of 800 or so gets lost in a 9,000 seat arena, but not in a 1,500 seat arena.
Good point. But when you travel across the country to play a "professional" soccer game you would like to be playing in a nice place I would think.
