During Dynamo off-season, I'm at 90% of Aeros' games. I can be found in the club or attack end.

Yea, sorry about that. But it is a huge part of sports history and culture around these parts. I don't remember if the cowgirls were winning their 1st or 2nd super bowl that year, but it helps explain why so many Houstonians who couldn't find Dallas on a map became "lifelong" cowboys fans during that time. Now there's a contingent of Saints fans here. I never understood those who remained Titan fans. It's like, dude your girlfriend dumped you, move on. Plus she was kinda ugly and had a bad personality to boot.

It's funny, but watching that video I don't remember many of those events. I don't remember what I was doing that day either. I guess my mind has repressed most of that day. If they had managed to just get to one super bowl during those years, thing might be very different now.

This also helps explain why I'm so pessimistic regarding the Texans. But they're the pro American football team from Houston, Texas and dammit, that's good enough for me. Let's kick that door in.

don't apologize! its important and makes eventual success sweeter.* you know what's funny, i remember Mexico's painful losses much more vividly than the successes. there has to be something telling in a psychology textbook about that.

i remember both the Buffalo loss and the playoff loss at Denver. i saw them at a friend's house after church. i know 'the Comeback' gets all the hype, but for some reason 'Stagger Lee' has stuck in my head longer. perhaps because the play was so ballsy that i respect it. of course, it was also incredibly stupid.

*i mean EmoPonce almost undid the 'El Paso kid' curse all by himself.

That Bills game doesn't stick out as much for me for some reason. The one thing that sticks in my mind is Bills players on the sideline saying "They don't want it!" during the game. I think part of me knew it was going to happen. Looking at some of those plays now, it's almost like they were trying to lose.

The KC game the following year is more vivid for me. Joe Montana, Marcus Allen, Keith Cash, Derrick Thomas, and Warren Moon running for his life. I want to say he sacked 11 times. Maybe it just seemed like 11. I remember getting drunk and making an ass out of myself in front my family and friends. I took my anger out on a defenseless wind chime. Good times.

Tomorrow's gridiron games are rematches from last year. SHSU Bearkats vs. ND St. Bison for the Div. 1 FCS national championship at "Robertson North" and Texans vs. Bengals in the Knockout Round (Wild Card) of the NFL playoffs. Also tonight is the Cotton Bowl between the Tx A&M Aggies and the OU Sooners.

If we go out in this round, I'd expect that the Texans would find another QB or face the wrath. Unfortunate about the length of his contract.

Keyes is doing an impressive job so far. I can't wait to attend both Dynamo and Hurricanes' games!

Shhh....don't look now but Aeros and Rockets are having decent showings.

We beat Cincy last year, we'll beat them this year, I was there for last year, and decided to sell my ticket for this game. I'm way too sick to attend that game.

Nothing earth shattering from Matt Williamson. Schaub is no Tom Brady, but he's no Mark Sanchez either. His contract means he will be Houston's starter for a while barring injury.

If the Texans are going to win, they're going to have to run the ball and their defense is going to have to get pressure on the quarterback. It's true now and it was true a month ago.

Without the threat of the play-action pass, the running game has been ineffective. Schuab will need to actually threaten with his passing or the Bengals will stop the run. Kubiak better be willing to bring in his back up if Schuab goes two more quarters without scoring.
