Only reason bronze game means anything to me is because we have a chance to end Canada's medal run.

Russia can't come out like they did today against Sweden. They really have Vasilevsky to thank that it wasn't 5-0.

Lol I didn't even know we had a medal run. Personally Canadian fans don't really care about bronze or no bronze. If we didn't win the tournament, a silver medal/bronze medal/last place is all the same.
But my God that was an epic fail against the States today. I assume Spott gets fired after this shit. For 2 periods we basically kept giving the puck to the Americans and committed way too many turnovers, which is the worst thing you can do against a team that basically fully relies on speed. Subban gives up 4 goals on 16 shots... srsly. And on the other side Gibson was in beast mode.

Well I doubt Spott gets fired from Kitchener, and Canada switch coaches every year.

Yea, it's always the goalie's fault when Canada loses, or the coach's.

And you think Russian fans give a flying French ******** about anything but gold?

America styled on the wooden, uncreative Canadians. A bombastic display of flair and audacity that left the emotionless lumberjacks running for the excuse bucket like always.

Probably will get fired. If you look at our performance, we basically had the worst 1st period in the tournament, and in the 2nd we responded... by conceding another goal and playing just as bad. The coaching staff didn't make any sort of changes, there was no mentality change, we didn't start defending better, we didn't start controlling the puck better. There was no area of the game that we actually were decent in. Overall considering that we had our best youth players available this year this is an epic fail. There is a very good chance that Spott gets fired.

Well it's not like that is the only reason that I listed in the paragraph. You highlighting that part doesn't mean that's the ONLY thing I wrote. The whole team played like shit. Subban can get slack on the first 3 since his view was blocked basically by our own defenders (which btw is one of the fails of the coach who didn't organize our defense properly). But the 4th one was definitely his fault because of his positioning.

So you don't care that you can break our medal record now? I don't get it...

Lol you seem mad. You still hurt from the 4-1?

My point was that Canada picks a new coach every year anyway.

I don't care about the bronze, I just like beating the slow Canadian robots and their annoying fans have brought up the medal run before.

Is that the generalization on Canadian hockey by russian fans nowadays? lol
You must still be mad from the 7-3... I suggest crying it off, followed by a DVD of the old 81 Canada Cup games... Perhaps that lonesome moment of true russian hockey glory can raise your destroyed pride of your team in the last 30 years or so.

U.S. takes the Gold. Now hopefully this WC turns into the best one ever considering the lockout.

btw the Canadians have come up with yet another excuse/way to make themselves feel better. "The other teams are good because of the CHL!" Seriously you can't make this shit up.

To be fair, that statement was made by Don Cherry.

And whoever takes his statements seriously needs to get his head examined.

A lot of their fans are echoing Cherry's viewpoint.

I just love the fact that so many of the WJC games were so close. The WJCs can be won by at least 4 different teams these days. maybe more.

Lockout's ended. Looks like the good ol' Canadian prairie boys have an excuse now for getting lit up come the WC.

So, I guess, Fedotenko and Ponikarovsky are now going to be returning to the NHL...
