So this got some people fired up last year when this thread came up ... Which should make this thread just as much fun. The 2013 version has the Revs up a spot! Woohoo! Bolded is mine, because this was part of the discussion last year.
But it doesn't. This argument is being made elsewhere as well. His note specifically stated December. Cisse and Dorman were signed in November. Hell, I'm not sure most of the Revs fans would even quantify them as "exciting new player signings."
I dunno, Cisse impressed me much (in a video I saw) with his field vision and accurate passing. Seemed quality to me. Let's see if he can do this in MLS which is very aggressive in the style of applying pressure on the dribbler.
Seems like a lot of congratulatory back slapping for just changing a hashtag, especially when the reason for the change was that you guys were being out hashtagged by a bar.
Actually, I didn't care either way. Was proud that I had nothing to do with it, keeping it or getting a new one. Nice try though. I was just noting what someone else had said.
I'm sorry, but (and keep in mind I like Cisse), you are judging Cisse on a video? By all accounts on youtube, Enzo Zidane is better than his father.
You should actually congratulate your friends down the hall in the Rebellion coffee room at Patriot Place.
That's actually letting the Krafts off easy. Lamar Hunt cared little about FC Dallas compared to the Kansas City Chiefs.
So the Revs deserve to be bashed for not signing anyone in December (Scott Caldwell, by the way???) when they had already made two significant additions in November? Please. There are far more important issues that the Revs/Krafts need to be held accountable for than the timing of their acquisitions. I wish Wahl had brought one of those up rather than the throwaway anecdote he came up with.
He didn't say they didn't sign anyone. He said, in comparison to other teams who had made exciting signings, the Revs hadn't. It's not that arguable. They haven't made an exciting signing yet. Have they made good solid moves that may make their team better going forward? Yes, maybe, hopefully. It has nothing to do with timing. Wahl obviously had this date circled for when he was going to present this piece, and at current time, the Revs haven't done anything to really sway opinion in another direction. What would you want him to do, lie and say he thinks the Revs are doing better when he doesn't think they are?
He didn't own the Cotton Bowl. You think he was going to pay rent forever? He built a piece of crap in the middle of nowhere. Sound familiar?
