Incidents like KPB? If after identifying and banning offenders, it persist. Closed door stadiums [or allow just wome and children], plus hefty fine. I guess it would be hard to define the amount, but something more than freaking £50-80k.

Incidents like the Serbia u21 match? Fines of at least half a million Euro. Bans [starting at atleast half a season possibly even out for 5 years], some kind of relative community service programs should be created [if there arent any].

Its really tough to judge whats good enough and whats going overboard, but what they currently do is certainly not enough.

He is on same level as Vermaelen, uses his physical attributes to hide that he is an average defender, one is the captain of Arsenal and the other off to Germany, will do well for them.

And I have been saying the same about Vermaelen despite the first Verminator or whatever goal scoring season from him.

Can the next other team thread be in favor of Boateng stance of walking out, too early for a new one but can we keep that in mind please.

Meh, it's at the point where I think you've got to punish the entire fan-base and club itself for this stuff. There are too many idiots who seem to either think they are 'making a stand' (against what I have no idea), proving a point, etc and are 'willing to take the consequences' for what they seem to think is acceptable.

Get your team banned from competitive football for a year (and thus relegated), or your country (and thus almost certainly costing them qualification to a major tournament) and then let's see how many idiots want to be the big man, or the 'I don't know what I was doing' cowards suddenly manage to remember the importance of self-control. If they still do, let them get shunned and/or torn to bits by the tens-of-thousands, up to tens-of-millions of angry fellow fans.

Detention, mandatory sterilization and if they have already had children, re-indoctrination of those children in a boarding school while being assigned friends of color.

They should round up those individuals and gas them.

Exactly. Fergie had the sense to get rid of one, and never bother looking at the other while some lambasted him for it. He has always been about drive, and neither of those guys have it.

"What we know for certain is that it started with a kick from Balotelli, aimed in the direction of Scott Sinclair. Mancini, who had been making up the numbers in a practice match, ordered Balotelli to go inside. Balotelli refused and this is the point when Mancini lost his temper properly, grabbed him and started trying to drag and push him off the pitch."

What this incident needs is "Iron Fist" Platini to crack down and tell them in the harshest of tones to promise to never, never, never do it again or he'll make them regret it by putting them on double-secret probation.

The main issue I have with that is you could have 50K fans in the stadium with 50 of them shouting something racist and as a result you punish the club and/or 99.9% innocent fans for actions of 1%.

I'm with benni - punish the responsible fans and make sure they really pay for that, maybe force the team to play a game without fans and/or pay a large penalty, but that's the extent of it.

The problem with this Serbia situation is that Serbian fans aren't big fans of their FA and they would like it a lot if their FA had to pay some big fines.

If the situation was a group of obnoxious/racist fans, why don't they stop the game and make them leave? No game till they're all gone.

For NT games, countries don't have to participate. What happens when a Muslim country has to play Israel (or vica versa)? Same deal -- countries don't have to participate. They can stay home if they can't behave.

You can see that there are issues on the margins that could get dicey, but these aren't those.

The problem with stopping the match and trying to get them to leave, these assholes are usually ultras and the ensuing riot following the attempted ejection would force abandonment of the match and endanger the general public in attendance.

I don't agree. This will turn those banned into martyrs of sorts and possibly get even more support. I think any incident involving more than 25 fans or so should impact the show team and all supporters - make the fans responsible for policing themselves.

If they bring in rules about clubs being relegated for racism anyone want to come with me to the home end of Anfield and pretend to be racist for a day? We'll just follow SirManc's lead

I don't know y'all. I think the players should just suck it up and play harder, earning their big salaries. Isn't that what Jackie Robinson did? I'd say it would be the professional thing to do.

I thought about it, but in all honestly, all this would do is cause crowd violence, and I think innocent people would get hurt if they went up to this guy...

Can you believe they know this guys name? Does anyone know if he's dead or in jail yet?

It is the professional thing to do, but in all honesty thats asking a lot. If this is what is done, then they will not stop with the racism. It almost feels like you are condoning it if you ignore it, or dont do something about it.

It's not a sports culture - its a racist culture that encompasses sports as one of its facets. The guy has a 1389 tattoo. He is probably a Serbian nationalist, since 1389 was the Battle of Kosovo. I hate those scum, and they hate me back.
