Hey Lechus7: Where did you go all this time? You know that you have several thousands of post to check? :D (we're at about #10.000 o_O).

I remebered very well it was Japan-sweden at the Olympics, but you were first to answer!

I'll try to skim through them all in the following weeks. #10.000 my, my... aren't you productive guys  and as for whereabouts: down under. ;)

It's a lot posts to process but got some essential questions till I catch up:
Any news on NT matches before Algarve Cup? Will there be some or camp's only?
And what's with Kinga? I've read somewhere in here that she's injured?
What's the shape of NT roster at the moment?

    Thanks in advance :)

Four games today to end the year heading into the new year's break. First it's Shizuoka Sangyo against Waseda. Okuda Mika is missing from the Shizuoka squad, I wonder if she's injured, or if she's no longer a student.

Oshima Marika (left) scored the opener for Waseda yesterday. #18 is Yamamoto Maya who apparently gave a tremendous through pass for the second goal.
    [IMG][IMG]

The second 11 am kickoff features Musashigaoka, celebrating their win yesterday below...

against Osaka, who made hard work of beating Tokuyama yesterday.

2-0 to Waseda over Shizuoka Sangyo in the first half.

Our little friend Tanimoto scored a penalty, and Seguchi Nanami added another.

Any chance of applying to join the Challenge League?

    No, camp only.
2 And what's with Kinga? I've read somewhere in here that she's injured?
Very bad. It seems to take at least 6 months to return.
3 What's the shape of NT roster at the moment?
    Not decided yet at all.

Sasaki Mayu scored again today along with Uchihara Nao to give Musashigaoka a 2-0 win over Osaka.
    [IMG][IMG]

Waseda went on to win 2-0, so these two sides will meet in the first semi-final on Friday.

Now the big game approaches. Kibi start with the same lineup for the seventh time in a row. You'll just have to imagine them playing in Kibi colours and not in FC Takahashi colours. taka.jpg
    Kibikibi Kibikoku!

Kibi take on Kanto Gakuen as I mentioned yesterday.

In the other game, it's Nittaidai against Himeji Hinomoto and their secret weapon.

No score in either game, the tension is unbearable.

    Bang that drum!

1-0 to Kanto. Kiyo kicked the ball against the back of one of their players (Takahashi) and in it went. They'll bury me.

Kibi's Takahashi equalises with four minutes to go and we're getting ready for the penalty shoot-out. I'm going to Tokyo for four days next weekend for the semi-finals and final... they lost last year on penalties, the nerves...

Yes!!!!! Kibi are the winners, 5-4 on penalties. Nittaidai won 1-0, so the semi-final lineup is:

    Waseda University v. Musashigaoka College
Kibi International University v. Nippon Sport Science University

Last year Kibi lost to Nittaidai on penalties... but they've beaten them twice this year in the Challenge League.

Just before the penalty shootout was about to start I get a sudden call from my wife about what time next week's game is at so we can bring the dog in to his hotel. Nice timing.

Right, that's it, football's over for this year. Another near heart-attack, thank you ladies, see you next weekend in Tokyo.

    9,954...

I suppose I also have to imagine them not making the "C" gesture, since they're not "Charme" anymore in this incarnation...

Anyway, they made you pay your Tokyo trip with an additional heart attack... :p
So you planned for semifinal AND final before even knowing if they would win the quarter? That's called optimism... ;) Have you already reserved a place for the party to celebrate the Nadeshiko League title next year?

At least penalties were quite smooth? Or they gave you another heart attack with some misses or such?

    You've been Aussie? Really?

As for your questions, I see unepomme answered in a very essential manner. But you'll have to catch up anyway, guy! :D

9.956... I've got the strange feeling that we could actually make it. And without great particular effort. o_O

My wife was going to stay in Tokyo anyway, so it just so happened that the games were on at the same time. I told her to hold off booking the hotels just in case, but she booked them anyway. I would have gone even if they'd lost to see the other teams.

    okayama2.jpg
Instead of the 'C' thing, they did an 'O' when they were playing for Okayama, including the Belle goalkeeper... so maybe they're a 'K' for Kibi.

Five penalties each, all five Kibi penalties were scored. Yamamoto missed for Kanto Gakuen.

Very confusing with a Takahashi scoring for either team.

There's a thing on right now about Sameshima on BS-TBS for those of you in Japan.

I didn't catch the very start, when I started watching it it was footage of the tsunami and the damage done in Fukushima. Then it showed her going to the US and then France, with scenes of her daily routine (training with the youth team in the morning, going to the gym and so on) and then finally return to Sendai. Plus World Cup and Olympics. I only got to record about twenty minutes of it.

My dilemma: try to understand the French being spoken or the Japanese subtitles...

I was just searching for pictures of today's game, and for the first time on the team's Facebook page I noticed this message after the Sayama game:

    seta.jpg

"The foreigner who came to Setagaya". I'm guessing that means me.

Just a doubt: now that Ohno is going to transfer to OL, who'll get INAC's captaincy at her place? o_O What do you think, people? We'll get back to Kawasumi, like in season 2011?
In the last matches of Empress' Cup, with Ohno mostly out slightly injured, I guess I saw Junko Kai wear the captain's armband...
