Other than the fact that I'll be there- haven't heard much about it.

Have we even been practicing? If we are a couple pounds heavy and a step slow, could be ugly.

Doesn't matter to me. Tell me how you fared against the Charleston Battery and I'll start taking your accomplishments into account.

    1) its a shame its at Rollins field, because so few will see it
    2) its awesome its at Rollins field, because its a great setting in downtown Winter Park.

Game will not be streamed (as of 28 Dec.) Offices are closed until 2 Jan so maybe!?1 that will change. Phil has said he invites people to stand outside and watch through the fence (sounds silly until you have been there and realize the field is next to three roads and it is very good viewing through the fence). Please donate to the charity if you go this route. About 1000 lucky folks get inside (we'll be selling Ruckus scarfs at the entrance)

Oh Brother. Orlando website says we will only play with 6-8 players from the team and the rest will be trialists. So, it will be one of the top teams from Serie A against .... a college soccer team? Yikes!

It's a glorified scrimmage, not a full friendly and looks to be pretty obviously thrown together last minute since Roma were going to be in the area and needed fresh bodies to dribble around for 90 minutes.

Orlando City has been treating this like "the real deal" even though it obviously isn't anything close to that. Can't blame them I guess, it would be cool to see Roma play even under these conditions and at least they are donating the moneys to charity, but both the timing and the location of the game really should be enough to keep anyone from getting their hopes up too much.

    It's going to get ugly

Roma have signed with Disney to come over for the next several years and with this raising over $5K for charity I think we can look forward to this being an annual event. As you've noted the problem is where to stage it in the future. Disney is out, they are not big into giving entrance fees to anyone. Citrus bowl is busy this time of year. When OCSC has its own stadium the problem will be fixed but that is several years away. Most likely Rollins again next year. A good work out for both teams and the strength of Orlando is it has 9 vets and 7 trialist in place this time of year. Good luck getting that many people together on most teams. Full timers are nice to have.

You could do this at UCF's soccer stadium, have a similar feel to an Italian stadium (AS Roma plays at Rome's Olympic Stadium, inside a track), and fit more than twice the number of paying customers.

5-0 in the 89th, and Totti came on in about the 70th.

Also, there is not one word about this match in the Orlando Sentinel. It wouldn't have to be front page news, but really, a top team from the Italian league is playing a midday match smack in the heart of Orlando, and there isn't one tiny mention? Ridiculous.

So, that's what that was all about. From the stands you saw the Orlando player go down and the sideline ref obviously saw something pretty nasty - but don't you give that a red? Even in "just a friendly?"

Overall, Orlando was as bad as you would expect - not crisp, a touch slow, etc. Some of the trialists were out of sync. However, the bright light was No. 11 - not sure who he is. Almost everytime he touched the ball in the 2nd half something good happened. PLayed left back but went forward well.

AS Roma hit some wicked outside shots - something US players need to start working on.

Mbengue definitely took an elbow to the head. Lamela definitely should've been red-carded.

Totti got a late yellow. He got a foul, and I think the yellow was for mouthing off to the ref.
