Bosnia they played in February 2012 so unlikely; Russia maybe; Norway they badly want to beat as one of the few countries Brazil has a negative record against; Switzerland maybe - from Geneva to Basle perhaps? Russia would be the best team of the group, and brasil could call up a team made up of mostly brasilian playing in russia. Hulk, Romulo, guilherme, miacon marques, mario fernandes, diego mauricio, jucilei all play in russia and are good enough to be called up. []__[]
I think that won't happen - palyers from Ukriane might be a better bet! Mario Fernandes might have blown it after quitting in 2011 for "personal reasons". Mano was not too sympathetic was he - Felipao might not be either.
Brazil South Africa You should have lost 4-1 This is also a home game which tend to be easier!! South Africa is ranked 87(which is proof the ranking is flawed) but, either 2 things are going on. Brazil is not very good or, South Africa is underrated. I am not sure which one is the case! As I said if you play all hard teams you will be out of the top 50 in no time!
We need to play these tough teams because it will guage which players are worth to be in the selecao,plus it will give the younger players experience against these teams. Playing weak team does us no good at all. Neymar must show what will he do against an Italian defense or what Dede,David Luis against a Spanish offense. This is what the team needs these games. Plus I blame Mano because he was a terrible coach who had no system in place. If we lose I trust Felipao will make the changes. I just want to see what the team will do against these tough teams.
It is important that Brazil makes many games in the country next year. The World Cup is close by and not there is a great sentimental connection between the people and the Brazilian team. People are suspicious.
In the north east they are received with love or affection at least; RJ and SP crowds can't seem to wait to boo them if things are not going their way. Brazil are confirmed to play 6 or 8 games at home next year - England in RJ, France in MG, 3 or 5 FIFA Confederations Cup games, and Chile in September in SP. And suspicious? No need for that - blame the European clubs (backed by FIFA) who do not want their beloved players travelling home to South America to play friendlies.
Well, we might belatedly get a chance to play Spain in June. Unbelievable that the last time was in 1999.
The closest we ever get to see us play Spain is U-17 and U-20. I want us to play Spain to see how the boys will respond to the tiki-taka.
I can't think of too many examples where a home crowd is quite so quick to turn on its own team. We have very little chance of winning next year but absolutely no chance if the crowd hammer the team early on.
At least now you admit 2013 will be a very difficult year for Brazilian football... I expect you out of the top 30 by the end of it or very close to out of the top 30!
I'm not saying that a possible approximation of the brazilian people mean with the title at the next World Cup. That's not what I mean. I mean there is a distrust of the people in relation to the brazilian team because they not played more often on national soil. You know, I see the oldest people was talking about how the relationship people-Brazil nationalteam formerly and as it is today. Previously, there was an atmosphere of unity, confidence and motivation to watch the matches of the Brazilian team. Today this occurs in a much smaller. Compared years ago, there are fewer people in interessas matches of the Brazilian NT. Many good players, but are not stars, as is the case with Hulk, not famous of the much people in brazil. Make friendlies here would mean a greater confidence. Maybe it does not make much difference in the search for the title, but I consider important. Great so far we got England twice,Italy,France,Russia and the Confed Group of Death with Mexico,Italy,Japan. Next year will be a great year to see how the team will measure up against these teams. If Mano was still coach it would be a disaster for us.

Yes, I understand but you are not listening. I know there is very little 'connect' between the Selecao players and the public. As I mentioned, the European clubs are partly to blame. Additionally, the likes of Daniel Alves and David Luiz have rarely played for Brazilian clubs if at all (ditto Messi and Argentina - they could not warm to him initially because he had not been seen in Argentina since 13 or something). When the public see about 60-70% of the squad plying in Europe the 'mercenary' tag will always come up. On the other hand when Brazil do play in the SPs and RJs of this world they are savaged by the public - poor Neymar was hammered x South Africa in the Morumbi. Now, if I was a player, would I want to play for Brazil in a neutral European city where I am received with support and sometimes, affection, or play in my own backyard and get slagged off? One to ponder...........with the fans Brazil have a better chance in 2014; without them NADA!
I understand your point of view. SP-RJ are very demanding; remember Brazil 5x0 Ecuador in 2007 before Brazil's scoring several goals in the final minutes, the crowd was booing. In qualifying for the World Cup 2002 also, or in the friendly against Argentina in 98 (we lost to them 1-0). But I believe that if the squad played more times if she could get a way to approach people, people would be more supportive and less booing. We miss it. But I understand what you're talking about.
