Buddle never fit into this team once Robbie arrived. I wish him the best. He's a favorite of mine but he has a lot to prove next season and this move will likely wake him up.

You have to love Bruce. He doesn't rest on his laurels. He clearly has a plan and is working towards it.

We aren't privy to it, and there are doubtlessly parts to this plan not even rumored at yet, but I have 100% confidence that the squad will be complete and ready to roll come March.

No plans on using it? It's got no value if it's just sitting there.

Well for one thing we haven’t picked up Clark or Hesmer they still need to negotiate with LA and looking at previous re-entry picks about half decide to retire or get traded. Assuming we do sign those two we get an MLS caliber left-midfielder perfect for those stretch games in CCL and a goal keeper arguably better than Saunders

Second we drop $500,000+ in salary commitments and pick up allocation money. Teams don’t acquire allocation money for giggles. There’s a plan, it’s probably not anything “exciting” but I’m guessing those moves are what get us Juninho on a permanent basis.

The re-entry draft is nothing, 90% of it little more shedding salary and picking up role players for depth.

Please let's not get Kennedy for gk. Save percentage stats don't tell everything but they do tell us something. And Kennedy's 65% save rate last season was abysmal. You can argue bad defense in front but even for the woeful 2008 Galaxy Steve Cronin had a better save % than that (ok barely, he was 66%).

And Kennedy lifetime is 68% - which is really weak. Lifetime Saunders is 70% and Hesmer 72%. And the stats do reflect reality somewhat - for example Keller, Meola, and Howard all had lifetime 73% save rates. And El Gato lifetime is 72%.

And SJ is really beefing up their defense by acquiring Bryan Jordan AND Ty Harden. Wow.

Were they both around when Yallop was in charge down here?

Harden yes, it was in 2007. But Jordan came to LA in 2008.

Yes, so he should know better. They both are good guys I take it, but neither should be playing in MLS imo.

With the trade with Chivas today and the departures of Becks and Willi, we have one.

We could have two more if we cut David Lopes and Leonardo.

    Curious

I thought Perk had reached a deal. Maybe he just pulled out of the Re-entry draft.

I believe that Wilhelmsson was just borrowing Leonardo's slot, which was not active while he was on season-ending injured reserve.

    You're right.

How IR slots today are for Sarvas, Juninho, Keane, Keat, Leonardo and Davod Lopes. We have 7 slots.

Feel bad for the guy though, but his salary was too high. He is forever in my heart with that ridiculous bomb in the quarters against the Sounders.

of course you know he has a full offseason now and he is gonna prob kick ass next year

haven't heard anything this time about signing Juninho tho, only loan talks...

I have a feeling that we are gonna announce in the next couple of weeks that Juninho is back on loan for another year and we signed Luis Fabiano.

We pull in Kaka in the next year after the WCup and we are team Brazil in the USA ... o_O

Bruce says Edson’s move was all about cap concerns. It’s Bruce so a grain of salt if you please.

Colin Clark can't play in the 2012-2013 CCL, because he was with Houston this year.
