    Anticipated Starting Linne-ups

Neuer - Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba - Javi Martinez, Schweinsteiger - T. Müller, Kroos, Ribery - Mandzukic
    Trainer: Heynckes

ter Stegen - Jantschke, Stranzl, Brouwers, Wendt - Nordtveit, Marx - Rupp, Arango - Herrmann, Hanke
    Trainer: Favre

This may be a walk or BMG may show up to play. They have a nasty history against us at home. Not the same side without Reus and Dante. ter Stegen will be very busy. Glad to see Alaba put on the links abwehr. He will do well and csertainly have more confidence in him then Contendo or Rafinha. Solid set-up in midfield as Mandzudic is lone striker.

4-0 Bayern as we go into the Winter Break which means "Hallefussball"!

    Martinez is questionable.

For Gladbach, defender Dominguez is out because of yellow cards. Daems also out.

    Questionable: Rull, Hermann.

I'm pretty eager to watch this game. That'd be my starting lineup

    Starke*
    Lahm-Boateng-Dante-Alaba
    Schweinsteiger-Martínez**
    Müller-Kroos-Ribéry
    Gomez***

    * I wish Starke in goal against either Augsburg or BMG. He's a great guy, a very good goalkeeper and an absolute professional. Plus I heard Neuer had a cold this week.

**In case Martínez isn't match fit it would be best to go with Tymoshchuk. I know what you're thinking "eeww not him" but the alternative would be Kroos in the defensive midfield and Shaqiri in the middle. For one it would screw up all the automatisms in the offensive midfield and more importantly the Swiss is still a freaking turnover machine which wouldn't be very beneficial against a counter attacking team like BMG.

    * **I expect Mandzukic but I'd prefer Gomez

I am a former youth player with TSV 1860 München (Three full years-Jugend C und B) and thus, "Einmal Löwe, Immer Löwe!" Back in those days our profi team was scheisse. Couldn't even do well in the Oberliga. Was able to train under Sepp Maier and often shared training facilities with the FCB youth teams at and near the old Städtisches Stadion an der Grünwalder Straße. One tends to admire success in professionals!;)

Nothing but a win would be acceptable here..

I hope Gomez gets more time and would like to see more shaq time..

If we are comfortable hopefully we can rest more players for Tuesday and get our bench more involved..

With the depth that Bayern possesses, Gomez has really got to work hard in training and displace Mandzukic from his starting role. The way Mandzukic, Müller, Kroos and Ribery are working right now, I would not mess with the success. No doubt he is a scoring talent. My only gripe with him is that he seems far removed in critical games for FCB and Die Mannschaft alike.

As a "super - sub" he gives Bayern a fear factor late in a match. I would say the same for Robben once he is fit and consistently so. Still can't get the two critical missed penalties against BvB and Chelsea out of my mind in his regard. In the later, it was terrible coaching mistake due to the knowledge Cech had of him as a teammate and the terrible form he had on PKs. There was no conviction or confidence. I actualy look for him to be transfered in the Summer should he not come back to form. There is too much talent and ability on the sidelines for him to remain. He is just an injury waiting to happen.

I also feel that Bayern should umload Timo and van Buyten at seasons end. JMHO.

    Cheers - Woody

I expect us to go with full force hence is the last game of the season (except for the pokal)...

And please, no more Mandzukic starting FFS !! He's been playing like crap for at least 4-5 games in a row ... It's time for the real Mario to start !!

    Mein Score-Tipp: 2x0 FCB

woodythenetminder, on your take on Robben not being an reliable PK taker, actually his scorer tally is 12/14 ... Unfortunally, he missed the 2 most importants ...

I was gonna say the same thing. But he's almost forgiven for the Loewe for his respect for FCB.

Very, very unlikely. Gladbach are back to being very tough to score against, and we can score out of nothing. Favre and the team know how to absorb Bayern's pressure; and players like Arango with his magnificent left foot or Herrmann with his speed are dangerous threats even with 30% possession.
I expect a very compact Gladbach looking for "Nadelstiche", and a rather cautious and patient Bayern team. The first team to score probably wins the game. 70% on Bayern, but it might just look like last year; Bayern attacking without being really dangerous, Gladbach scoring from one of the few, but dangerous attacks, and killing the game.

Meh we lost the last two games against Gladbach because of Neuer and his two mistakes so i hope he won't do anything stupid tonight.

Every team loses because of mistakes; and 11 players can make lots of mistakes in 90 minutes.
Gladbach would lead the table with 48 points, if we hadn't made several mistakes. However, we're quite deadly in making use of mistakes.

Well, as long as Neuer doesn't "Tango with Arango" ;) outside the penalty box, we shouldn't have any problem. Plus, the absence of Reus and his quickness, which hurt us big last season, can only help us.

Yeah, I would've thought the 'Mez would've gotten the start. Well, he'll come on in 60th and score a hattrick!
